That's the list of the characters available for their 30th anniversary MP poll. Top vote getter gets an MP toy.

It gives me great hope for Star Saber getting one since he's the guy who's front and center among the leaders!

So apparently the voting requires purchase points, and mailing it in.

 

Next year is going to be really expensive for me.  

 

I didn't know it would cost TF points to vote. Smart move for Takara.

 

Well it's a good system. They give the votes to the people who are buying their products. The more you buy, the more votes you get. It's definitely better than allowing a poll open online to anonymous users who might just vote for anything and not actually spend the money to buy the product when it comes out.

 

That sucks, I wouldn't cut boxes for this.  

 

Nice that they have pics of these guys because I've heard of them but wasn't sure what some looked like.

 

Pity that Primal has no chance of wining, but I'll be ok with MP-FortMax

I'd be more than happy to settle with either Big Convoy or Lio Convoy.

Wow that is actually a really good voting system. Ensures only the fans that buy their product can vote, prevents cheating by multiple votings, keeps it regulated to their market...Only downside I can think of is that it involves cutting up the boxes. It sucks that I can't vote, but I really can't fault this system.

 

I can't see the point in voting anyway - they are going to make what they are going to make and to be honest I doubt the vote is legit anyway. all it might do is prioritise what they aleardy plan to make.

And the elephant in the room is there's nothing to stop them reissuing a lot of old "Leader/super" class toys with pretty paint and sticking MP on the box just as was done with the Movie Masterpieces.

Starsaber at least has some modest hope of getting made anyway as they've gone on about it enough the last few years.

But I wouldn't get to excited that an MP Superfire Convoy, Micron legend Convoy, Big Convoy, Superlink Convoy would be anything other than a reissue.

As for Optimus Primal (Beast Convoy), Diatlas, Lio Convoy or Super Ginrai or who knows else I suppose either a G1 reissue a remake or a new MP is possible .
As for Fortress Maximus - I can't see the need - the original just got reissued and the only things a really small one would work with might be WSTs. hardly worth the both to make a robot with no decent alt modes.

But again we are presented with a list with out a single villan option so no Deathzarus no Super Megatron.

And frankly if they are going to make an premium Lio Convoy I don't want a fluffy lion toy I want him to be a ZOID !!! heck I'd rather limit MP's to tiny licensed cars from MTMTE with the odd thing like Blaster or Soundblaster thrown in.

Besides isn't it Galvatron and more Dinobots or a Megatron of the right size to go with MP-10 that so many people actually want in terms of larger MPs ?

I don't mind if they do a modern Starsaber at all but the list is rather frivolous.

And if they are stating a new found love for zoids why not make Premium grade Transformers like the Dinobots and Predacon where the animal modes look like zoids ?

 

Yep, it pretty much ensures that the Japanese market will be the one to determine the upcoming MP.

I hope all these people saying Star Saber is the 2nd most popular leader behind Convoy there aren't wrong!  

 

Man, I really wish for a MP Primal...

Still, so long as it's not one of the Unicron Trilogy ones, I'm fine with the results.

 

I imagine that it will end up being either Fort Max, Ginrai (PM Prime) or Star Saber. I am fine with any of those.

If it's a case of a predetermined outcome and the voting is just for promotional purposes, then IMO that increases the chances of it being Ginrai. Prime/Convoy figures have always been popular, so it would be a no-brainer.

and FYI, they were not Primes, just Leaders of the Autobots at one point of a series.

Wow, that is awesome. Thanks for translating that so throughly. I don't know if my votes will count, but I am going to give it a try. I would really like a MP Fort Max, but I will likely end up voting for Star Saber as I think he will just come out looking better.
