I don't know if MASABON talked to Hasui or Maeda AFTER the video and they told him MP20 will be a 'concept car' and 'new design', but that's not what Hasui says in the video:

Hasui: "About the new Masterpiece, I believe many of you want to hear about MP20. We can't show it yet, but MP20 will finally be that character, that car model which the license was very difficult to obtain".

MC: "Why? (can't show now?)"

Hasui: "You'll have to wait/please wait some more"

Again, maybe MASABON heard something else from Hasui or Maeda AFTER the presentation, but this is what Hasui says on the video regarding MP20. People are still speculating over the wrong info and I thought a new thread would clarify the issue. Please delete if it's the wrong place to post this, thanks.

EDIT: I wasn't there, all I did was to translate Hasui's comments on MP20 in the video posted by MASABON.

 

Welp, pretty sure it'll be Bumblebee.

 

Probably Bee or Jazz would be my guess. Maybe Wheeljack?

Hasui is quite dramatic talking about the license thing, I'd say it's Bumblebee or Jazz. Really hope it's Jazz... I mean, Meister.

 

It would be nice if we could get MASABON to clarify if there was anything else said that wasn't in the video.

 

If thats all he had to say about the next Masterpiece toy, he would have done better not to say anything at all.

 

Oh, I don't know. Its nice to know its a car, and that it was hard to get the license. Really that gives us a ton of information. We were all busy trying to decide between Megatron v2, Galvatron, and Ultra Magnus. We were way off.

My money's on Meister. If so, we can finally put that stupid 'VW/Porsche doesn't want to license war toys' crap and flush it down the toilet with the 'Takara lost the Lamborghini license' BS.

 

I'm cool if it's any of the main Autobots, but I really wanted a new Decepticon leader in the new scale.

 

Probably gonna be Bumblebee as an actual Volkswagen Beetle.

Let's think, do all cars have licences? to those who don't then the ones that do must be the possible MP20.

 

All the Ark crew and S2 repaints do, yes. They were based on real cars.

Bumblebee. Takara always had trouble acquiring the Volkswagen license.

 

Bumblebee was the first thing that came to mind, but Jazz is way more likely.

He says it'll "finally be that character", which I'm translating to "a character in the Big 10 of G1 that everyone was kept out solely due to license issues."

I really don't see it being Bumblebee because, well, there isn't much of a demand for a Masterpiece version of a character like that as much as there is for Jazz.
