Ok guys and gals.

I decided to take a ride into Down Town Detroit in the (Grand Circus Park) area, which happens to be the same area they filmed portions of DOTM to sub as Chicago.

While down there i snapped a few pics of the set being built and while i warn you, its nothing major to look at just yet. I was assured that it will look much much better come the same time next week. So with that in mind, I will be visiting the set every few days to update its building  

I talked to a woman on set who was kind enough to actually step out and answer a few questions of mine without giving anything super major away. I REALLY tried to get some detailed info out of her but she was VERY picky about what she was willing to tell me.

She did give me her name (or at least a name) but regardless if the name she gave me was real or not, I will not share it as I do not want to get ANYONE into any trouble.

With that said, I was told that the set will indeed sub as "Somewhere" in China. She did not or would not give me an exact city name. She did however say that the set will be comprised of around 6 to 7 standing structures that will be of an older Chines design and around 4 or 5 destroyed buildings that will have crushed in walls and so on. There will be piles of debris and this set will be part of a "Major" battle scene.

I asked her if she could elaborate any and was told that there would be "many" Transformers "good and bad" involved as well as humans fighting. She also said that there would be a few particularly "larger" Transformers that will crash through buildings while fighting each other.

I asked her if that meant like large human looking Transformers or more animal looking and she said, "All I can say it maybe both" with a smile.

So with that being asked, I asked her if she could tell me anything else and all she would tell me is this movie will blow all the others out of the water and will be darker than the last. And than said this particular set will be filmed on in July.

That's what I got. I will do my best to keep info coming

Very interesting "many transformers good and bad" could this mean there are still more autobots we don't know of

 

Could be I guess.

 

I think we might get a dozen of Autobot drones fighting alongside Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Hound, and the four autobots to be name , as for the Decpticons most likely a few hundred Drones and maybe five to seven named Decpticons.

 

I for one would love to see red shirt Autobots this time around. I'd love to see a few named bots leading their own groups of other non named bots.

 

Have I forgotten how easily we got information for the last three films or is all this info on characters coming surprisingly fast and with little effort to get it?

 

Dragons=Dinobots?

If ever there were a synergistic reason to use dinosaurs, it would be to fight dragons. Maybe Hasbro is looking to repurpose some of their Beast Hunter stuff.

 

It has finally come full circle. China is outsourcing back to the US! Only a matter of time  

 

Nice! I just hope there are no more large transformers like the driller from DOTM. It was cool, but I'd rather see that money spent on transformations and other robots.

Damn! Darker than the last 3?? Dotm was pretty dark...well the last half of the movie. I'm getting more and more excited. By the sounds of the news so far.. it seems like the transformers will have a bit more of a story than the humans even though they're a new cast. idk.. but I can't wait!!!  

 

Dinobots are cool and all, but I am getting pretty tired of them being in everything right now. I realize I'm being hypocritical, but I would love more Bruticus! (and Defensor, and all the other Scramble City Guys!)
