Waiting patiently for a silver kit... Did I read it right that is doesn't come with the lightbar? Not like it would be a huge deal, since he'd be in permanent bot mode, but it would be nice to have...

That's excellent if it does I didn't read the blurb, and was just offering a solution based on improper info.

I'd love to get two of the Silver sets so I can upgrade my current Barry kitbash with the lightbar and stickers, and use the other set to fully customize a spare FE Vehicon I have laying around to keep in alt mode together.

Looks great (the new head sculpt is pretty good though I still prefer mine since HFTD Hailstorm's face looks more like Bayverse Barry's). Sadly, at only 100 sets, chances are slim to none that I'll get even one let alone two. Ah well. Maybe we can petition Reprolabels to make a similar police markings sticker sheet if we clamor loudly enough for it.

Agreed. I have like 10 of the RiD molds and two of the FEs. The RiD are more screen accurate and make for the normal show cannon fodder but the cheap plastic kinda puts me off to them somewhat. The FE, despite being inaccurate, limited articulation, and the infamous back kibble, I just like for looking more sinister (both in bot and alt modes), the nice heft of the figure, and the higher quality plastic. Of the two FEs I have, one is the afore mentioned Barricade kitbash and the other is my Vehicon commander.

 

Im not a Prid vehicon hater...I love that one, but The difference between the 2 are like comparing a gravity bot to an MP.

This "bad cop" kit is gunna be pretty prized...I think when some of these lucky folks sit down and do this class, and get all close and personal with the mold, and then frost the cake with this upgrade set, It will be a prized possession.

Im betting this "bad cop" Looks 10x better in hand too...Such a sweet idea.
And your custom with the mindset/hailstorm parts is DAMN cool too.

I'm happy enough with my custom. FE Bumblebee + lightbar + Hailstorm head = teh mutio rox.

This just looks odd. And short.

 

Loving it, and I'm glad it uses the FE mold to make Barricade better stand apart from the PRID Vehicons.

Yeah, that's what made me fall in love with the mold. Buying it straight from Japanese retail and fiddling with it over the holidays in Japan.

KFC needs to release this kit as a mass release somehow. I'm already dreading trying to track this down on the secondhand market.

Thanks, man. I think my custom captures the Bayverse/Prime aesthetic while I think this KFC kit is going more for the Aligned continuity design (opposite Prowl), which may also fit Classics (maybe if they added some new 5mm fists to replace the claw hands).

Hmm, one thing I noticed as a missed opportunity is that the sticker sheet seems to be missing the blue and red police light details in his hips/waist area, as the 3D CGI design for Aligned continuity Barricade has.

 

So for the Silver Pack -- no lightbar, or mistake in the original post?

 

Confusion based on the website:

The apparently spurious comma in the second paragraph seems to indicate an item ("Light bar," perhaps?) missing from the list.

 

Shame this is a limited edition. Maybe they can make a version that's for mass release and made for the RiD Vehicon instead of for the FE Vehicon?
