The first thing I thought of was... Who the hell cares? Company making the camera paid big bucks to get their product used. As for Reflector, a nifty idea, but highly unlikely. He would have to serve some purpose in the movie just for that idea to work. Shaky-Cam. Yes, there will be lots of it... ...We got a lot of that in previous films, but more likely in similar fashion to other films using that style... Cloverfield and Blair Witch I believe also did that, both were garbage and nothing more that a visual puke-fest. I think the camera would be best served from the human's perspective during major scenes involving the TFs.
Bay'll be able to go through tiny openings with this camera, like in his signature 360 degree shots (remember the shootout in Bad Boys II., where the view travels through doors, and windows?).
Who knows, maybe we'll get exclusive images of what brand of toilet paper is being used on set. Wouldn't that be thrilling?
I'm seriously doubting everyone's "shaky cam" thoughts. Who's to say it won't be mounted on something for stability? I'm gonna take a shot in the dark here & say 90% of the viewers won't have a clue what kind of camera is being used on any given scene.
-__- This is actually some interesting news about how certain shots could be filmed using such a small camera. And I hear it's Charmin by the way. 2 ply, with that aloe lotion stuff.
As long as the quality's up to par for modern filming standards, they could use whatever camera will get the job done. I just hope they don't blatantly force in scenes just to take advantage of the camera's small size though.
It's nice to see bay's movies continue to be shot with small cams. that's about the quality of his movies these days. lol
SCENE 47: Running away from Decepticons. ACTION: Female lead runs away from Decepticons. - [Novo will be strapped to chin. Facing down.]
Instead of the usual traditional large, stand mounted Hollywood cameras,it is just Palm sized, sure make those whom are carrying them much easier job.
At last a camera small enough for Bay to just load into a cannon and fire off through a scene to film it. Bay: "Wow! It's so much steadier than my usual shots!" It's pretty cool, I guess. Gives more options for filming. Bay has two of them, one each taped to the toes of his shoes for when he stands next to women in skirts.
How can you film it with cam that small and still film in 3D.? I know you can edit it later on to add 3D but i thought BAY wanted to film the whole film with 3D CAMS.?
