whoops, then apologies for the misunderstanding. But I dont think we are ever going to get Leader class type combiners anytime soon. I would't hold my breath..

You all keep saying this (Not just you, W_S-X - just needed to quote SOMEONE)... But remember - these are "free" molds. All the R&D is done, the molds are made. If there's a home for them here, why WOULDN'T Hasbro bring them over?

The key point there being "if there's a home for them". They need to fit a price point, obviously, and they need to fit a line. Now, that might not happen, or it might not happen for a while...

... But none of you works for Hasbro. Or Takara-Tomy. Stop acting like you know better than they do what their future plans are. Even if T-T is saying this is Japan-Exclusive at the moment, nothing about our past experiences with them suggests the POSSIBILITY doesn't exist for Hasbro to bring these over. It's far more likely that Hasbro simply has no desire to at the moment.

Given people's reaction to them, it's not hard to see why. These really do OOZE the AEC-esque combiner vibe. They're gangly, awkward, and goofy-looking. I kind of have a soft spot for this type of combiner, and I'm not paying import prices, so I'm gonna bite (if only in the hopes that they're not as goofy in person, and as a curiosity for my collection)... But I can understand why a lot of people won't be. More power to them.

The fire truck bot, in particular, has really awkward fists. For voyagers, these guys are REALLY simplistic...

At the moment,it is only TakaraTomy releasing them,of course since the mold is there,we will never know what TakaraTomy or Hasbro will be up to whereby eventually Hasbro may release them or may not release them. But till date,we can conclude it is strictly Japan release at the moment. My opinion is in general, not targetting at anyone's comment in this thread,if i have offended anyone,am sorry.

thanks for driving the first point forward, dude. Yes, I may not know or would not be sure that these wont be ported over to the US, but, there's been loads of TF G1 related stuff that didnt make it over like the Trainbots as a basis for my argument. and the second part of your reply is exactly why I believe that these would not take off as well. Also there is the issue of where or in what line Hasbro would want to decide to put them in and given the possible price point (again just an assumption, no need to geek out or nerd rage on me.. :p ) that thee would easily, easily pass the $50 mark. Then what? Would Hasbro want to risk the possibility of not being able to sell these designs over in the US? Are they going to want to risk cutting a loss in profits. Ah, well...

Oh my god, so much drama and bossiness in this thread. :p

Now that I'm getting a proper look at these guys, I feel better about missing them. I knew they'd be expensive as imports, and the police car guy feels a bit large to fit nicely into my collection, but with a clear view of their joints and styling, I think they are way more awkward than bots of this generation should be. Easy pass.

Could be that Hasbro releases these molds at some point in the future, as repaints or part of another line or whatever... but I'm not seeing anything here that I'd want to shell out Voyager pricing for. Too bad.

Strange that takara are releasing these with no attached media and they look extremely different in comparison to the Prime style. Really hoping this isn't the new iteration coming.

I believe their will be a straight to DVD series. Style wise its looking like Cybertron with a mix of 2D humans and 3D CGI bots

As for the toys. Some things bug me but keeping in mind how these 3 can interchange in their combo transformation on a similar level to the Getter robo's I like what I see. However I think I might wait it out for a repaint i'm not a fan of the primary colours Also I'm more interested in the Ninja team

I really want to like these, but something about their aesthetic- particularly in robot mode- seems like a gigantic step backwards in design. Something leaning more towards another lesser era than anything representing a step forward. Prime to me- love it or hate it- seems like a huge quantum leap forward, whereas this absolutely does not.

these things are absolutely hideous. shouldn't even be under the transformers brand name.

the red one is barely passable as a robot, but the other two are DADDYLONGLEGSNOTORSO.

thanks takara, saving me money one release at a time.

Why didn't they bring the Voyager class Arms Micron Breakdown mold over to the US for the Prime toyline?

Why didn't they bring Animated Wingblade Prime or Blackout over to the US?
