The Decepticon samurai out to reclaim his honor by turning into an Autobot could be Drift/Deadlock. It would be interesting since I also thought of it as a good idea but knowing Bay he will likely do some massive, unrealized, cliche, crap with him like Sideswipe and Dino. Still not enough to get me to watch TF4. Not even the Dinobots are enough.

 

Could you imagine the gimmick for the toyline? Dinoriders! Then you get a Legends/Commander sized transformer riding on a Deluxe to Voyager sized Dinobot... ugh...

I'd take this with a grain of salt, given it's all third-hand, but if it's legit, neat I guess.

Which Classic Characters Look Set To Appear In TRANSFORMERS 4? Possible Spoilers!

JoBlo is sure they've learned quite a few details about Transformers 4 from a source at a marketing event. Not only do they reveal which characters might be making an appearance, but also a little on how they'll factor in to the plot of the movie. So although this has to be taken as a rumor until official word, we've always found JoBlo to be pretty reliable so SPOILER WARNING is in effect from here on in.

So their source has confirmed that TRANSFORMERS 4 will feature none other than the famed Dinobots, including fan favorite Grimlock. No word on whether he'll retain his neanderthal voice, but one can only hope he does as that's a true staple of the character. One of the villains of the film will be a character named Lockdown, who has a ship full of decommissioned Transformers, including the dinobots, which are somehow brought back to life by a captured Optimus Prime. Prime is joined by returning autobot Bumblebee and at one point both characters (and potentially others) will "ride" the Dinobots into battle in Hong Kong (which fits well within the announcement that the film would film partially in China), with Prime on Grimlock and Bumblebee on a Pterandon, presumably Swoop.

Additionally, the autobot Hound will make his debut, as well as a former "Samurai" Decepticon that wants to regain his honor and become an Autobot. And what about Megatron, who is presumed dead after the last film? Well, fans of TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE will be happy to know that not only will the dinobots be making their debut, but also Galvatron, who is basically Megatron "reborn" (and originally voiced by the first Spock, Leonard Nimoy).

That sounds lovely. They're pulling out all the stops, which they should have done in the first place.

But I DO hope it's true...

 

I laughed out loud at the part about Optimus and Bumblebee riding the Dinobots.

But hell, this sounds interesting.

 

All that said, Galvatron does seem to be one of the few plausible villains for the piece considering how many 'cons are dead.

Resurrected Megatron again, even if they rename him, seems silly though. Just have a new character called Galvatron. Space could be full of Decepticon warlords.

Even if this is fake.. which is suspect it is, I have never wanted anything to be true more than this!!!! dinobots IN hong kong??? i think i just peed my pants.    

 

This sounds like a WHOLE lot of fanwank to me. I'm taking this with an asteroid broken off from the salt planet.

 

Grimlock and the Dinobots in TF4? Oh how I wish to see them on the silver screen but I thought that Bay doesn't want the Dinobots in it? Then again he did bring in Arcee who he also doesn't like in ROTF so we'll see.

I was expecting Galvatron to be the main villian of the movie since he's a likely canidiate but not sure about him being Megatron reborn.

Lockdown is a sweet surprise too and I can see him being in the movie. Wonder if he'll retain his ROTF toy design?

Hound is nice to see here and as for that former Decepticon that wants to be an Autobot? That does have Drift written all over it.

This is likely be fake but if at least some of it is true then I think we're in for a treat.
