Sega has trademarked the term "Human Alliance" which is interesting for obvious reasons. HUMAN ALLIANCE - Reviews & Brand Information - KABUSHIKI KAISHA SEGA; d/b/a SEGA CORPORATION , - Serial Number: 79127100 It seems that Sega has made a Transformers: Human Alliance arcade game. The only reference I can find is a bunch of recent news articles saying that this arcade game is being tested in China. Sega testing Transformers: Human Alliance in China - Destructoid Arcade Heroes Sega Testing Transformers Human Alliance In China This Weekend - Arcade Heroes
This is ridiculous. Why not make a light gun game where you shoot as the Autobots alongside other Autobots? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think people are interested in Transformers games because they want to play as humans.
I remember all the kids fighting over who gets to be Batman. But I see your point. And it's too early to make a good judgement this game, isn't it? lol
Yeah, I wasn't judging the game itself because it's way too early, but if the concept is as it was described in that article, I'm going to be a negative Nancy . While it can certainly be a great lightgun game, to me, it wouldn't feel like Transformers if I'm playing as Shia with a gun.
The first thing that came to my mind was Transformers: Cybertron Adventures. That was the terrible War for Cybertron on-rails shooter right?
At the very least they can always stick these around the Transformer ride at Universal since it seems to be movie themed anyway.
i didnt know about that game until you mentioned it looked good on youtube not as great as timecrisis but fun very easy game to play hopng it comes to us to gamesystems if it looks good i was thnking of this game when mentioned Transformers Animated Arcade Game Preview - YouTube
That's kinda neat, wouldn't mind trying it out. Wonder if the player switches characters while playing? Like TF some levels, human others.
"Human Alliance"?! Oh, are we finally getting Prim-- oh, it's a game. And seemingly just for China. Hrm...
Well I think a MW3 survival mode type game where you play as a N.E.S.T. Soldier would work pretty well.
I wonder if the test is still going on. See the date of that article originally indicates the "weekend" was last weekend, not this one coming up. Also I'm surprised no one picked up on it, but I know the internet is pretty big. I'll see if I can dig something else up. Oh and I wanted to point out that Hasbro never registered their trademark for Human Alliance (seems weird right?) but if you see its usage it usually is a subline imprint of their Mechtech trademark. And about Activision, I don't think it makes any difference. They obviously don't have the rights to games in China, hence that RPG isn't made by them at all. That may mean the game will not be able to come to the US, or that Activision might be able to work some licensing deal... Or it is even possible that Hasbro considered arcade games to be separate from computer/console games when it comes to licensing.
