That would be spectacular, I'd buy them both just for that!

Personally I think Orion is a good base for a Nova/Nemisis Prime figure, which would also keep it within the IDW-verse.

Oh, I thought a Generations version of Transformers Prime Dreadwing :(

Can people please stop suggesting for a Hotrod from Bumblebees mold?

Seems like a natural reuse of the mold. I'm sure I'll get him, but he's a third tier character at best so its hard to get all hot and bothered for him.

Now Takara Ratbat on the other hand......

That's neat. I think I'll probably buy this over Megatron.

    Rodimus also from Orion too.

    It's either Trailbreaker or Skids.

Cool. Skipping Megatron for this version.

Not that Megatron is bad....I just don't have need of another Megatron on my classics shelf.

This makes more sense for Dreadwing, than Megs. Buy on sight.

When it stops looking a lot like one of his earlier IDW designs, sure.

-ZacWilliam, not his current one, but it's really close to the one he had awhile back.

I'm a fan of stealth bombers and Dreadwing, so I'm likely to get Megatron AND this. Not a fan of the clear plastic wings but whatever.

I'm going to buy the hell out of this thing! I love G2 Dreadwing and I'm glad that he's getting an update. Now I hope that some third party comes along and makes a giant doofy shoulder cannon for him.

That looks much sharper than the megatron. The head is very G2 dreadwing inspired. But its got more detailing in keeping with the IDW style.

Big fan of all the dreadwing toys. can't wait to see these on store shelves.

This guy is basically perfect IMO. He looks great in both modes with very little kibble and it seems to have a pretty simple transformation. I'm looking forward to seeing it in color.

I agree with you, though possibly for completely different reasons, if I have any. Aside from the Rid 17 preview I haven't had a really good look at how IDW's Dreadwing scales with other characters.

On the other hand, Megatron is a far more prominent character, the stealth bomber design and toy were made for him first and foremost. I suppose that even if this version of Megatron had less exposure in the comics, the main nitpick for some fans would be that the upcoming IDW Deluxe Megatron should have been a Voyager Class figure, because of of his status and physical stature.

Seeing as Dreadwing hasn't really had the exposure to measure up to those factors, the Deluxe is just fine for him. That said, if I get one of these figures, I might as well get both.

I'm also keen to see what will make up the rest of this wave, or any others for that matter. ;)
