Not really my favorite design, but I'll take what I can get with Classics. Can't wait to see how Takara deco's this thing though since that will likely be the one I keep in vehicle mode.

His arms look waaay too droopy.

 

Not sure why everyone's so down on the clip-on wheels. Well, they're ugly when the clips are visible. But these are the reverse-type, where the wheel has the clip.

Aesthetically, they're better than the classic pin-type because it means that the hubs can be fully sculpted, instead of having a hole in the middle for the pin. RiD Vehicon and Rumble and Knockout have great looking wheels as a result.

 

He will be mine...when the official ones are out.

 

To me, Hollow legs just add to the fact that it's not the more G1ish Trailbraker i would rather have had.


I know i'm complaining a bit, but it makes me wish Headrobots Big Road was a reality... or that Takara would secure a HiLux license...

 

Ehh, don't really mind them personally - as long as they're like this and not like the Beast Hunters deluxes, where the clip on works the other way around and you have those awful pins coming out of the hubcaps.

It looks good though I would like to see if that weapon can clip/peg onto his back in bot mode also comparison shots would be nice.

 

I just love how heavy-duty that alt mode is. I want this toy.

Because they feel cheap as hell and impede pretty much the only play factor of the vehicle mode: it's ability to roll smoothly.

Despite the hollow legs and whatever is wrong with the shoulders I'm still getting this guy no matter what.

 

Pffft, hollow legs aren't really a problem with me. I mean, so many toys have them, it's just one of the things thet happens when you need two pieces to occupy the same space in one mode.

 

So when wil BBTS have this and the other 30th anniversary guys up for preorder?

Man, he better not be a pain to find in the UK. I bought a ROTF Lockdown to go with him and everything.

I'm basically sold on him, in part just 'cause James Roberts, but I really hope his weapon/roof can attach on his back to give him the accurate cannons-over-the-shoulders look.
