Niiiiiice! I am glad I came across this because I have an Animated Blitzwing on my watch list that ends today that I was just about to buy. This one is wicked cool.

I get the odd feeling I may have to just pre-order to get a Blitzwing that is classic, update, and the split personality all in one toy.

i like this thing. the jet mode reminds me of an alpha fighter from robotech (or a legioss from mospeada if you will). tank mode is a but....off (the G1 is far better at that actually), but the robot mode is pretty sweet. don't care fro the face switch gimmick myself (i'll use the G1 only when i get it), BUT i do love the fact that they put it in there for the animated fans ( i never got into animated). fan service is always appreciated!

Hate the triple faces. Good thing it's optional. Makes the animated figure look like crap too. Can't wait to get this figure.

Anyone have a Blitzwing who's got super loose leg joints? My left leg swings freely like Prime RID UM's arms. Kind of annoying if you're trying to pose him.

Mine are kinda loose, but I've heard of others with the same issue as yours. A friend of mine found a second that had tight hip joints, so it's kinda hit and miss.

My issue is that the stupid soft-rubber nosecone won't stay in place because it's too damn soft, and the springload for the head keeps pushing at it and won't let the cockpit clip hold it in place. It's so bad I'm hoping a third party group comes out with not only a new head, but a solid nosecone replacement (highly wishful thinking). The jet mode would be great if not for this glaring problem on mine.

The rest of him is okay. Except that Hasbro is beginning to rely a little too heavily on tension/pressure pegs that don't always seem to work. I hear people saying his tank mode is the weakest of the three, but to me it's the best one simply because it's the only mode that's solid when assembled (at least on mine). Robot mode looks great, but the springload on mine pushes the head forward off the track a bit, so he's always looking down.

And yes, the free-swinging folded shoulder panels bug me. But I'm gonna do the magnet thing to solve that problem.

I love all of the modes, the jet reminds me of an Alpha from Robotech. I didn't care too much for the animated series so I'll just use the original head when I get this fig.

I'm thinking of making a nosecone replacement via shapeways. :D

Maybe I'm lucky my leg joints are fine and tight. Regarding the face gimmick, I'd suggest to everyone to disassemble the head and shave off the yellow paint on the bar where all 3 rubbery faces are connected. Just shave off the paint and all will be fine with the head rotation gimmick. :D

Looks amazing. So happy that Hasbro was able to produce something worth hunting this year.

Even given his wonky shoulders due to tolerance issues and his rubber nosecone, this toy is the tits and I love him. I'm having a blast transforming him back and forth between tank and jet while on my desk at work. Frankly Springer is the stronger of the two from this wave, but Blitzy is no slouch. Just hoping Hasbro redoes Astrotrain at this scale eventually, because its been forever since his Classics version dropped and I need him at Voyager scale.

You are definitely not alone. A few fellow TF collectors have recommended the Future Polish treatment for his ball joints, but I've not used it before and really don't like altering my figures until absolutely necessary. Thankfully the hip wobble on mine isn't so egregious that he can't stand, so for now I'll just live with it.

Not a big fan of the three faces but meh...whatever

In jet mode he looks very much like Classics Jetfire from 2006

Yikes. The face gimmick on mine is, to say the least, deficient. Good design, sloppily executed.

    EDIT:
Been playing with him more. Fail. Fail fail fail fail fail.
Nothing's holding together right. The faces are FAR too tight and EVERYTHING else is too loose.
The missile won't fire past the end of the cannon barrel, as a final fail punchline.

Oh, wait. His sword and gun are good.

Call me names, or whatever, this is crap.
