The idea of repurposing and reanimating the dead into government backed war machines after the Autobots refused to give humans their technology has been on my mind since movie 1 with Megatron frozen in the Hoover Dam and all the tech they reverse-engineered from him. Such an idea has been hinted at again in DOTM when Prime told that government guy "NO" after he asked if the United States could utilize their technology.

I wonder, will this give us a revived man-made Megatron that turns into a tank ala Generation 2? Will Grammer's character be what Justin Hammer was in Iron Man 2? Using advanced tech without the permission and against the wishes of the original inventor?

Hmm.....it certainly would explain their redesigned looks. I can imagine rebuilt bots being more blocky, rough, and armed to the teeth. Re-purposed dead Transformers used as walking human-controlled fortresses which our more organic and vulnerable Movie 1-3 Transformers must deal with. This is starting to sound like MECH.

If he ends up reviving dead Decepticons, then that would be a great explanation as to why. Alice was a pretender, I see no problem with having more of them infiltrate areas of power. It'd be like Zartan as the President in G.I.Joe Retaliation, except in TF4 we have a Decepticon Pretender as a high-ranking counter intelligence guy.

I give them points for finally being honest that humans in these films are a million times more effective then the giant space robots

 

I don't really remember him from any of the shows I've seen him in but he certainly looks the part. He's also won a lot of awards so I guess it's safe to assume he'll do a good job.

 

While I can see the idea of some of the dead Transformers being rebuilt into a more "classics" style machines which can bring an interesting angle to the movie I don't see Megatron,Starscream,Soundwave and Shockwave coming back espcially Megatron. He's been brought back to life in ROTF so doing it again would be just rehashing the idea. He needs to not be in it. Though I'd like to see a figure of him in the line.

 

i hope he plays a human that punches an autobot in the face.

 

This is actually really good news. At least we'll have good actors on this one!

 

If he puts the voice only I am more than happy already. If he play an actual villain I am equally happy. XD He is such a great actor!

Well, that does lend a little creditability to the movie, sadly so did Nimoy in 3 sooo we will probably see how far that goes..

 

As much as I love Kelsey Grammer, I swore I would never pay to see another film that has Michael Bay's name attached to it after Dark of the Moon.
