    Metroplex Details Revealed on Takara Tomy Vs Hasbro Ver

    the diffrents between the hasbor and tomy metroplex


    From Takara/Tomy:

    - The US version will be white, the Takara will be more true to the white and coloring of the G1 Metroplex

    - The Japanese version will include two guns, the US version just 1 gun

    - It is believed the Japanese version will feature chromed/metallic paint apps the US will not, but this is not confirmed. When we asked Takara did not say yes or no.

    I hope they're kidding about that one-gun baloney. I don't want to have to import a figure as big and expensive as Metroplex just to be fully armed. How can Hasbro be this tight on costs when they're releasing a figure this big in the first place?

    okay, now i see it... and now i have to import metroplex, lol.

    in all fairness, with a figure as huge as metroplex, the guns are going to be pretty big as well.

    Some would rather (and I know others have called me out on this kind of thing with Blitzwing so go ahead and call me a hypocrite) have the option of two guns and not have to hunt down a second one (which'll probably be a bit pricey on ebay) just because Hasbro is cutting corners on a two foot tall city-bot.

    Who said they were cutting corners? Did you even consider the extra gun was Takara's idea?

    Like how Hasbro can put vac-metal chrome on everything, but they don't?

    Sounds like the Takara version will be the superior of the two. I think if you really like the look of this figure, importing may be the way to go.

    Given the position of Metroplex's gun in city and vehicle modes, the figure is clearly only intended to come with a single gun. It's not like Hasbro's leaving out an essential part, Takara's just throwing in an extra. But, of course, everyone will get all butthurt about it anyway.

    It's actually $150 + shipping for the Takara version. Guesstimating shipping won't be $75 bucks, especially if you are buying other stuff with it.
