Ohh....this looks interesting...it will be nice to see another Prime episode. I haven't seen one since the Singapore special. I am looking forward to this.

 

I'm hoping for Ultra Magnus vs. Megatron and Arcee vs. Shockwave fights.

 

Prime I hope you die. You have been a stupid SOB this whole series good riddance.

Optimus will likely be out of commision for a while at least seeing how Optimus never really dies in EVERY series he's in.

 

Well, Optimus certainly isn't dead. You don't put a spoiler like that in the promo.

 

He's dead. But it's obvious that he's going to come back towards the end of season 3 or the movie.

 

Man, they really like messing with us. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Theory: Smokescreen

sacrifices his own spark to fuse it with Optimus' and revives Optimus in his new body.

I'm basing that on the shot of Smokescreen on the highway in the clip. If you look around the edges, it fades to black unlike every other shot in the clip.

That could indicate it is a memory or a flashback, possibly some sort of memorial flashback sequence if Smokescreen sacrifices himself to revive Optimus

 

Optimus wouldn't have needed to tell Smokescreen to carry on the fight without him if that's where the story was going.

 

...Optimus dies again...

I hope we do see that new version of him.

This seems Hot Rod to Rodimus-esque...good teaser though!

 

Except smokescreen is nothing like Hotrod, by the end of the animated movie he had become a leader in his own right and so earned the matrix. Smokescreen has done no such thing.

 

I like the little "clunk" noise as Optimus' eyes turn off.

 

So, who do you think the new guy in the episode description is going to be: Rodimus Prime (Smokescreen), Optimus Prime 2.0, Alpha Trion, Omega Supreme (Ultra Magnus' ship) or someone else entirely?

Alpha Trion sent Optimus Prime the relics for Optimus to use during a pivotal part of their war, and Smokescreen's the most powerful of them all, says A3, anyway 

If Smokescreen isn't Rodimus Prime, perhaps he is Nexus Prime--Nexus Prime is familiar with Solus Prime's creations.

 

Smokescreen should become the new Prime and HasTak should release a Voyager version of him fixing all the problems in his deluxe sized toy.

 

"long-standing fortress"

By the timeline of Transformers Prime as of episode 3 the fortress has only been there for approximately a week... maybe two if you push the time frame a lot...

Put simply; Its not a long-standing fortress... its been there very little time.

"unexpected attack of the vengeful Autobots"

From the sounds of the trailer Starscream is fully aware that the Autobots are coming to attack - "They couldn't hide forever" - unless they really think the Autobots would surrender... which would be silly (Though I honeslty wouldn't be surprised if the Autobots let themselves get captured so that they could get close to Darkmount before Ultra Magnus attacks as a distraction.
