Unless these are reported issues by many Max owners, I don't see how this list is relevant.

I think the point is to make clear that takara is using very low Qc standards, I already posted here for example that my figure does not have none of this issues, however, after a 2nd review today and examining him closely I could see that spike feels VERY cheap, his body is ok however his arms and legs feel sooo cheap almost like a 99 cent store cheap bot and they do not fit nicely like the previous target masters reissued in kup and hot rod for example. I understand the point of not being relevant if these are isolated cases reported for example by 10 out of 500 buyers, but if more than that exists we should inform the distributors so they inform Takara, I mean if this toy was 30 bucks I would not mind but 300.00 plus is money and they should give quality for a price like that.

Ps: my gasket shows stress marks as well.

I'd be curious to see how many issues people who have the original Fort Max have encountered.

I already commented about that lol

Then someone jumped on board claiming his and 5 friends don't have those problems.

I have had 2 Cerebros and both suffered the tight leg issue.

Also vintage has tight leg/ratchet joints.

Spike also appears a little flimsy compared to other HM's.

Gun placement in hands is piss poor on vintage as well.

Don't believe me or anything :lol

Think when I get mine in I'm going to do a Vintage vs. Encore review and be my assholic self and say what I think

These are first-hand experienced issues. It's not like he just thought these could happen :lol .....It's an excellent checklist to compare to for all owners and owners to be.

I haven't even figured out where I'm going to put the damn box, let alone Fort Max lol.

I understand that but how many people have had each issue? One? Two? Ten? The point is if one Fortress Maximus out of thousands produced had one of those flaws then its an acceptable variance.

Yeah, I for one would like to know how common these QC issues actually are compared to something like Devastator with which I had no issues whatsoever.

My Max is getting regular testing by my 17-month old daughter.

First thing she did was put her Merida figure in jail. :lol

I treat it as a list of 'potential' problems for a Max. For the record, mine is fine but I think the list is useful.

    It's not a jail! It's a safehouse! LOL! That's a cute pic dude! :)

That's wonderful, I love the sight of vintage G1 molds being enjoyed by today's kids!

Well...just got mine in plus one for my brother. Here's our issues...
(mine)...right leg gun "snaps" when you raise it up.
...Cerebros is so damn tight just to install him in tower mode.
...left side of his forehead is dented. Had to shave a small part off.

(brothers)...main big gun won't snug in. Falls out if you bump it.
...left leg gun "snaps" hard when you raise it up.
...Cerebros is a little tight when you install in tower mode. We both have to
stand him up then bend him down.
...one of the arm launchers had a bad stress mark.

Got both from BBTS early air. We're still both please with the ones we got. I'm sure we're both are going to do some tweaking.

Whatever your course of action - you might not want to sell your vintage as the plastic seems inferior in the Encore. At least that's how my friends and I feel.

Could you clarify your points a bit?

What do you mean by "snaps"? Does it make a loud noise, pop out of its socket or something else?

Are you talking about the large Fortress Maximus face on Cerebros' back or the Cerebros face on Spike's back? Such confusion is inevitable when discussing a figure with three distinct foreheads. ;)

Do you mean one of the red launchers attached to a white ramp on the back of FM's arm or one of the hand-mounted or arm-mounted cannons?

Could you describe a little more what you mean by problems 0 and 6. When you say the guns in the left hand are facing backwards do you mean the barrels are facing towards his wrist? Also what is wrong with the hip joint. Trying to figure this out because my brother is getting one and I want to know so I can help him out. thanks

Be aware, I don't actually have my Fort Max in hand yet. I've just been updating the list based on problems reported by others as an aid for those (myself included) who will be looking to verify theirs once they arrive. In some cases I can only be as clear as the original description was.
    Exactly. Check out this pic:

No idea. Apparently at least one person from Singapore, on the sgcollect forums, described it as "spoilt"; whatever that means. Hopefully it's not a serious or common problem.

Whatever the case, the upkeep of the list is appreciated. I'll be checking my Max against said list when I pick him up from the post office tonight.

Just as an update. I've taken a look at my Fort Max (got it a day eariler then my brother :p ) and I have not seen any problems. I've transformed him into each mode three times no problems other than a tight left hip joint. I unscrewed Cerebros' left leg worrying the tightness was causing problems and nothing but a little plastic flash which I just scraped out. Other than that my only real complaint is I'm not playing with him as I type this :)
