So Predaking's big change is a darker grey. Meh.

They're all meh 'cept for Optimus who doesn't really look better, just cool. I want to know about the combiners.

 

So they showed all the ones I could care less about. Where is the Smokescreen? I wanna know if the Hasbro version is as show accurate as he gonna get.

 

It's a shame that Ttomy didn't do anything significantly different for Predaking. sigh. Oh well, at least that Prime looks decent...

If he retains those colors I'd really like to get that soundwave. I'm perfectly fine with homages, but machine wars colors on the prime fig just don't work for me.

Also if those are close to the final colors for starscream I can see a lot of people doing Swoop as minor repaint jobs.

 

The blue sword is great!

 

I didn't collect Prime or PRID and don't really have any interest in BH. I just wish to see those combiner.

 

The blue looks good on Optimus, but not good enough for me to drop like $50 on him. I am also surprised than Takara didn't add the black detailing on Predaking's wings like the US package shows.

 

I like this color scheme A LOT better.

 

Most of those are pretty boring, but Shockwave totally kills. In Starscream and Soudwave's case, I think boring works better than awful, so there's that, too.

 

Most of these look much better than their Hasbro counterparts. I much prefer the unified colorschemes. Will probably end up getting most of these versions instead of the Hasbro ones. Especially since I only seem to be able to find BB here.

 

Retail for this Optimus is 4,200 yen, and my preorder for MP-17 and MP-18 was 4,300 yen each.

I do like the colors on Optimus, Soundwave, Bulkhead and Starscream just not = to the price I paid for a MP.

Shockwave I do not care for the blue, hope that is just the lighting, I prefer the Hasbro Purple over it.

 

So shockwave looks more...blue? or is it a metallic finish? I have a preorder down for one but not sure if I should get it since I have the hasbro one already and i don't see much of a difference.

Prime is a definite buy for me. and I'm hoping Smokescreen has the proper paint apps.

Heres hoping that Ripclaw gets a Ser-Ket paintjob!

 

Prime and Shockwave look fantastic. Especially Shockwave- that repainted beast armor looks AMAZING.

 

I never noticed Soundwave was in G1 colors. That's neat.

 

Shockwave looks better with the beast bits in the black than the maroonish with Hasbro release. Guess I'll be getting the paint out. Optimus is a good figure, but better when you give it some paint details. Sharpens up nicely. The other I can't see doing, but maybe Soundwave. But the Hasbro one can be a nice stand in for Jetstorm from Beast Machines when you keep his legs together. I've seen Bulkhead at the store and it just is fugly and Starscream still looks too insect like for my taste.

 

Optimus and Starscream looks muuuuch much better. I can't wait to see what they do with Smokescreen, love the mold but colors are gurk.

 

It looks like they may have changed Shockwave's "ears" to gray instead of black, which is pretty nice, I want them to be silver but I've never had any luck painting rubbery bits.
