Hello Guys, I attended this event yesterday thanks to winning tickets from a link a member posted on this very site. Me and my son had a blast. I believe member Keldroc also attended. Saw the first two episodes of the upcoming Beast Hunters season. Spoilers are located here Link We also got to take pictures with the cast. They were all super friendly and very accessible. The whole red carpet treatment was in full effect. There was also a Q&A Session in which both me and my son go to ask questions. Some questions from the Q&A Was Transformers Prime always meant to be a 3 season show? Is this what we can expect from future shows? The answer was essentially that the base goal was to hit 65 episodes, the magic number for syndication (13 weeks of five shows per week repeated four times a year...the perfect afternoon rotation), and that they're technically lucky they got to do even that much. If the show hadn't been popular or the toys hadn't moved, it was entirely possible for the show to be canned after one season, so the production team is grateful they got to tell a complete story over the course of a full 65 episode series. - Credit Keldroc for typing that! To follow this question, it was revealed to us also by Orci, that Beast Hunters was not added to the third season until they were very deep into production. I believe his exact words were, "we were asked to put in beasts very late into production and also the two characters we had already come up with, somehow still had to fit in" Spoiler (Ultra Magnus, Shockwave) A question by Kevin Michael Richardson (Bulkhead) I heard there is an African American autobot that is a Cadillac Escalade on the show. When will we see him?" Laughter by the whole audience A question by my son How come on the show it seems Megatron is always winning against Optimus? Frank Welker answered "Because he's Smarter, Stronger, Faster, more resourceful and pretty darn good looking"! Interesting tidbit. Nolan North who voices Smokescreen on the show, saw that my son was carrying a Megatron figure and asked my son to get a Smokescreen figure because he was "cool". My son informed him that he had one already. Surprised Nolan said, "What? You have one already? They're out? I don't even have one! I need to ask the PR people here. I'm still waiting on mine! Now I gotta go ask them for one." Guess it pays to check the Sightings threads here on tfw At the end of the even there were tables lined up with gift bags. Each gift bag contained a cyberverse Beast Hunters figure. We were able to get Optimus in one bag, and Trailbreaker in the other. A great experience overall! Images from the event. I think Dark Energon tainted my sons eyes in all these images. Signage Red Carpet Theater Megatron with Megatron The Stage Big Screens All over the place The Candy, The candybars were everywhere.
