IMHO, his weapons and unsightly kibble is more suited to being Prime: 'Alien Hunters' than Beast Hunters!   Yeah, gonna stick to the Voyager Op anyways. I never buy Ultra-sized toys from the previous Prime RID line anyways.

Not going to lie, i saw this and literally burst out laughing.

The level of quality on this toy is laughable and evident from the incredibly cheap plastic look that everything has to it.

As shown in the robot mode the proportions on everything are wrong. The shield is barely the size of his leg, let alone his arm. The sword is massive and the 'hand hold' is small. The legs are massive compared to the rest of the body with the head looking miniscule due to the massive chest.

 

Pay more for a suckier version of the character? It's like Animated Supreme Optimus Prime all over again!

 

Oh, god. I'll reserve judgement until we get more info, but things aren't looking so good.

 

When the you-know-damn-well-what is this and Ultimate Predaking coming out?!? I can't wait!

 

Ugh! The head is really too small! And the green parts, yeccchhh! Takara better make those green parts black or I won't be getting this at all.

Judging by everyone's reactions, I guess I'm the only one here who badly wants this guy.

Also, when is he and Ultimate Predaking due to be released?

 

As others have said "Yuck",this Optimus has the third worst alt mode I have ever seen,next to Energon Prime,and Animated Roll Out Prime.They shoulda spent more time designing him if this is what we're gonna end up with.Way Easy Pass for me.

 

Wow do these beast hunters have some range on em, the designs go from "eh" to "geezus kill it with fire". This is the latter XD

I really hope the actual show designs aren't nearly as silly as the toys.

 

If this is anything to go by (especially compared to what was shown at the Toy Fair), things do not bode well for Ultimate Predaking.

I get it that toys at ToyFair are better painted than what we later get at retail but come on! They look nothing alike.

The retail version looks like a KO of the figure from ToyFair.

I was really looking forward to this guy and now I'm very disappointed. I won't be buying it.

 

Well I suppose Hasbro wouldn't be Hasbro if they didn't have another giant shelf warmer for 2013. It's almost as if they're trying to make toys that nobody wants. Cheap looking, virtually no paint apps and laughable proportions; this thing is an absolute embarrassment.

I fully expect to see this guy clogging Toys R Us shelves everywhere while I struggle to locate even one MP Soundwave. It's good to know that Hasbro has their priorities straight.

 

It boggles me why they have the spikes on his chest when he won't have it in the tv show.
