The World's Finest - Young Justice

Greg Weisman recently had an interview with Worlds' Finest. The focus is on Young Justice, but the end has this little tidbit:

    Excitement!

And now we know why Prime is getting cancelled.

Rescue Bots is next on the grim reaper list too.

Truly, he is the Joss Whedon of animation, at least in terms of his shows all getting canned.

At least they tend to be good while they last.

Guys, he's a freelance writer. These aren't "his" shows.

YAY! He wrote for Rescue Bots. MEANWHILE.... Prime's suckiness even affected Marty Isenberg, so yeah, don't have my hopes up high for TFP.

Still, freelance or not, if an episode of Prime is half as good as his work on Gargoyles or Young Justice, we are in for a treat.

A very good choice of writer. He's like a freelance Bruce Timm/Paul Dini.

Always wanted to see him write for Transformers. He's a great writer.

That's So Fitting. Maybe he'll do the next TF Cartoon.

A guy can dream! Granted it'd probably go the way of Animated and his other shows, but one can only hope.

Oh I hope so. Seriously a team up of him and Marty Isenberg would be amazing.

I'm happy we're getting Greg in Transformers at long last.

Marty Isenberg has only written four episodes.
    Op. Bumblebee(p) Pt. 1
    Crossfire
    Triage
    New Recruit

    Op.Bee...was a pretty good episode.
    Crossfire...eh.

Triage and New Recruit? Those were both pretty awesome episodes. Of the four Isenberg has written, only one was particularly poor (Crossfire), one was just decent (Op.Bee), and two were actually good episodes. Especially Triage.

The only reason you people keep dissing on Crossfire was because Breakdown died. The whole episode was intelligently written and fun, I think you're letting that one thing get to you.

Oh, wait I forgot he wrote the episode that introduced Smokescreen. And Operation Bumblebee. And Triage. Though in my opinion, New Recuit was the only good one.

I've.. never actually watched Gargoyles, but hopefully his work lives up to his reputation.

That's not the only reason why some people hate the episode. Others were mad about how Arcee seemed to have fogotten her development from Partners and reverted back to her old ways by chasing Airachnid and the whole dead partners thing.

Anyway that's neat! The man who wrote episodes for Gargoyles and Spectacular Spiderman is certainly awesome news! :thumb

Maybe I was too hasty in calling it poor, but I was still not fond of it. Primarily because of Airachnid; I hate the character and everything about her, and the focus on her in Crossfire didn't change my attitude toward her. The rest of the episode was okay, but Airachnid in general just makes it not as good as it could have been (maybe if she was a better character, I'd like the episode a bit more).

    Crossfire was ok.

About this guy writing for TFP and RB, does anyone know how many writers are writing for TFP and RB?

And by others, I'm guessing you mean yourself, and all the other fans of her?
