Never saw any future episode. It was the Freeze introduction episode. Freeze would even say "BABY IT'S COLD OUTSIDE" for no reason during a robbery and it was even stupider because Clancy Brown was his voice and you had all those corny "GET I'M IN FREEZING SHIT UP" lines.

It was really really weird. All I'm saying is that sometimes people you like do things you do not like so there is no reason to hype Greg's free-lancer writing for two TF series. That article proves nothing other than "Greg Weisman will be eating well tonight because he confirmed he still has a paying job."

 

Huh. I thought you were talking about "Artifacts". It takes a couple cues from The Dark Knight Returns (or so I hear, I've only just now gotten into comics).

Never saw that. I gave up on The Batman in early seasons because I didn't like it much. I liked their take on Penguin and Firefly but that was it. I THOUGHT I would like it since it was clearly by the Jackie Chan Adventures guys which I LOVED but I didn't.

I am not going to lie I am a man of very weak conviction and usually jump ship pretty early when I don't like things.

 

The Batman was kinda bland, but every once in a while there was a good episode.

Jackie Chan Adventures was indeed awesome.

 

What development did he get again?

Started off as a (w)reckless rookie and...ah yeah, is still a (w)reckless rookie. Don't recall him actually growing/learning something or anything. He got yelled at a few times and then the plot called for Autobots in action--he's still the same guy =/.

With Arcee, she constantly brought up her partners and her past and chased after Airachnid just as recklessly, but in the season finale arc of season 1, she stopped Bee from going after revenge like she did (after she opted not to kill starscream).
Then in Season 2, she chases Airachnid again. Hate her or not, or don't care about her in general, she actually did get development that was dashed away, in an ep that already had so much fan rage.

TL,DR: Smokescreen isn't developed. He arrived a reckless noobie and stayed a reckless noobie. Arcee actually did get development, and then they threw it away for an ep, making it pointless.

 

I think some people confuse character development with someone being fun.

 

Uh huh. But still, she's always like "MY PARTNERS ARE DEADDDD!"

So yeah.

 

Yeah, this is too true. It's sad really.

And? The point being made is she got development. I even stated that they threw said development out of the window soon afterwards.

Whereas Smokescreen isn't developed at all, contrary to what you might think...

If the trailer for Season 3 means anything, it seems he hasn't changed at all either (the bots were supposed to scatter, but he instead returned to Optimus. And he's seen leaping onto a jet vehicon over a cliff)...

At least he has character. The majority of the time, characters are made of cardboard. At least we know who he is. Of course, I do want to see some development. But at least we've gotten this much.

 

Yes. I love that show.

 

Man I loved Gargoyles, would love a updated steel clan robot.

Hopefully, he will be on the new show when it starts as well.

Apparently, he did WITCH, MIB the series, Starship Troopers Chronicles as well those were some great shows as well.

Don't knock WITCH until you have seen some.

And that C.H.A.S. episode from Starship Troopers will make you tear up.

 

sweet I loved his work on Gargoyles!!! Both Prime and RB is going to b worth waiting for. this guy is in my top 5 favorite writers.
