Actually not just her fans but people who are either all right with her or dislike her but hoping she grows more from Partners. Since then she pretty much fell from grace to a lot of viwers.

 

I never liked TFP Arcee in the first place even when the show used to be good. TFP Smokescreen is the best developed Autobot, which Shatterpoint might kill me for saying, and anyway, I don't get all this hulabaloo about Arcee.

 

Even the writers were aware of this when she said she sounded like a broken record.

 

I think the big deal was the franchise getting a female transformer that wasn't a "girly girl". Now, that in and of itself does not make the character good, but I think that was the general idea behind it.

 

I could have sworn I've seen his name connected to something with Transformers before, but I guess not. probably because I see his name on so many other shows I've watched. Still, he has an impressive Resume'

They already did that with Strika. And technically, every Decepticon female ever, except Thunderblast. And Quickslinger.

 

The reason why TFP Arcee is popular with a lot of people is that she's the first version onscreen to have an actual character who's both tough and compassionate when need to when her past versions where either usually damsels in distress,plot devices or cannon fodder.

I'm sure either they were going somewhere with that or it may be a writing error on Isenberg who knows?

True, but Prime has gotten a lot more publicity. To the general public (i.e.; new fans) and people who had't watched TF in a long time, it was a radical shitft.

 

I've been a huge fan of Greg's work since Gargoyles, so i'm definitely glad to see his name attached to TFs in any capacity. I hope it leads to something bigger in the next series.

Looking at his imdb page, besides Gargoyles he doesn't seem to have actual writing credits on many episodes that I would consider great, even for the other shows he produced. So, this is a very much wait and see.

Greg working on an episode doesn't mean it's going to magically make everybody happy by the way and is hardly worth of true hype. I've seen episodes of him in other shows that were horse shit. His Mr. Freeze episode in The Batman was nothing but corny snow puns that could make even Arnold Scharznegger's Freeze seem sober.

 

You talking about the future episode? Cuz that was the shit.

 

For me it was the first time where she just wasn't there in the background. She actually mattered to me. She's far from perfect but it's a good start.
