so.....would any of you fine English chaps like to help a brother in the USA out with a Skyquake? pm me please mayhaps we can work out a deal?
I'll have to check out my local TRUs before the weekend is up. Ridiculously happy to see Skyquake here, I thought I was going to have to import him.
Happy I've got Skyquake. I've effectively completed the RID line, just to pickup the Takara variants. However one of the wing parts that fold away in robot mode isa little floppy. I took it off, and it's because too much plastic has been cut off. I'm going to have to get clear nail polish to fix it as I believe superglue would melt the plastic.
I saw my first Dreadwind in the wild earlier, right next to his brother Got to say it does look a nice mould so I might go back to pick them both up during the week if I can.
The news post said "It follows the very limited release of Skyquake through Toys R Us in the US." Huh? When did that happen? All I heard about was a sole DD's sighting in Las Vegas (which was never front paged news).
So. . . .at the current conversion rate, it would cost $50-60 to ship a Skyquake to the US for no profit. . .
Dismissing the profit there's also time and cost involved in getting the figures. For instance for me today it cost me £8.10 or roughly $12 in bus fares to get to Toys R Us to find him. Some people would look to recoup those costs. If it was me however I'd look to swap him for something I'm after, which is hard to find in the UK - IE everything Just looked and at the current exchange rate, Skyquake is worth $34.33
Trading is definitely the way to go. What are the hot "we-got-screwed" items in the UK this year? Bumblebee?
Not sure if related or not. But my local target just restocked prid voyagers wave 4, original recipe with starscream. It may just be a case of old warehouse stock finally trickling out. So this may lead to skyquakes stateside
I'm waiting for someone to suggest MP Sideswipe for him, you know it'll happen, just look how Windcharger and early TFP stuff went... Edit: that's not a hint by me, I can just imagine it happening!
And here I was *THIS* close to buying one for $70 USD from ebay. Hope is rekindled! Thank you kind UK bros!
Congratulations you British SOB's, glad you finally didn't get the shaft on something. Just wish the US didn't end up with said shaft instead!
