    Many, many shows have breaks...

    Just not after 4 episodes...

Armada must have been the last good TF series in terms of cast. No drones only main characters.

They said this last season, I bet it continues with another toy series title like "Beast Hunters" or "Velocitron" or ...

Why is it that almost all new cartoons only have a certain number of characters in it. Like Prime you only have a few Autobots and Few Decepticons, if they add a new character they kill one off or kill off the new character.. Are these people that do these new shows not able to handle bringing in a bunch of new characters? Look how many G1 had in the cartoon. I really wish they would break the rutt and go back to bringing in new characters left and right, then maybe they could go on longer then 3 seasons.

I guess Jeffrey Combs was right after all. He did basically say it would end after three seasons.

I take a look at other cartoons like Clone Wars and wish Transformers could have a series in the US that lasts five plus seasons.

Then you're left with a lot of undeveloped characters with no personalty. Wanting the need for more characters in TFP is understandable but even if the CGI wasn't the issue or even if they used 2D animation instead having characters appearing left and right will not only be unrealsitic but hurts the overall dynamic of the existing characters. That was one of G1's most infamous flaws.

I agree completely. Small casts are better for the overall story. I do wish Prime had a few more guest characters that didn't die, or that it didn't off so many characters (Decepticons) but you can't fault it for not having the gigantic, ridiculously so, sized cats of G1.

Well seeing how we're getting Shockwave, and Predaking, along with strong hints of Magnus showing up with hopefully one or two more Autobots at least with some of the other Predacons we may get that chance soon enough this season.

Like you I prefer small casts and what problems TFP does have having an oversized cast isn't one of them.

What's this WE s***? I'm reserving judgment until it comes out, but after what we've gotten, I am NOT optimistic about it.

As for the end of Prime, give me an ending, not a cliffhanger, and I'm satisfied.

Disappointing news. It will be ok if they keep in the same continuity with the next show. If they do that, maybe there can be some cameos from this series.

The worrying thing is that with Prime ending this year (November i believe the Prime movie was scheduled for)... it meant they'll introduce a new tv series in either 2014 or 2015 that will be closer to the movies. Personally would have hoped Prime could have lasted till the next Transformers film atleast... that way we atleast have something to fill the space for myself and others who find the movies to be disappointing.

You say flaw, I say strength.

Plus, there hasn't been much in character development over Prime's 52 episodes. Only Arcee and Starscream got the star treatment.

    Give me G1 any day.

I feel like it will continue, They are just dropping the "Prime" and replacing with with Beast Hunters or something to do with the Beasts era along with possibly Cybertron, But I think who ever doesnt die this season which half will. I think they will be back with atleast 4 new characters on each faction showing up and possibly star seekers.

So I think when they say "Prime" is coming to an end I can see that. But... Beast Hunters is fresh and a new idea.

Its barely a year away from Transformers 4... After this Christmas the main focus will be on the fourth Transformers film - if TF Prime is renewed or has anything in 2014 it will be something short lived. Personally i feel the movie will end the series due to Hasbro not wanting to draw the focus of the toys and media away from the films.

It doesnt keep things fresh though. Especially considering that the Transformers movies are meant to be 12a while Transformers Animated was meant to be targetted at under 10's with Transformers Prime being targetted at slightly higher around young teens.

In answer to your question... Yes, yes it is dumb. They have an established group of characters and they just throw them all out the window and hand over the editing and look to a new set of people? Look at the vast difference between Transformers Animated and Transformers Prime... it honestly was not due to them trying to catch younger fans.

It's going to be pretty funny when the next show is called Transformers: BUMBLEBEE.

Bring on season 3, so Season 3 will end the Transformers Prime story arc but the series will continue in a new series of Transformers like Ben 10 has right ?

Honest answer is no one knows yet. There will be a new TF show in Fall 2014. That's already been announced.

But whether it's set in the same Aligned Universe or will be a complete reboot/new universe no one outside of Hasbro and the maybe the folks making it really know.

-ZacWilliam, what you're gonna see at least till Botcon, and maybe Botcon 2014 is guessing and supposition, and speculation. But really anything could happen at this point.
