Found both OP and BB with lighter shades of clear blue plastic today at target. They didn't have any more of Heatwave of Chase, so not sure if they got the same treatment.
Hmmmmm....more likely they ran out of the darker blue plastic pellets and used lighter blue for the production run. I like the darker blue on Prime vs the "engergized" weapons...makes them seem more like glowing energon...whereas the lighter blue on his body 'blends' more with them. Oh well. But a variant is a variant...and they're on retail shelves.
I saw the light blue in person a couple weeks back. First thoughts were it would actually be cool if the blue was darker. Might actually pick up the dark version if I run across it.
I saw the exact same thing at a Wal Mart in my neck of the woods here in GA. I'm sure they came from the same case as that WalMart had nothing in the way of Transformers just a week before. They also had the full Bruticus wave and the op/Jazz/SW wave. Since my birthday is right around the corner my Dad 'surprised' me by throwing all 5 Combaticons and Jazz in the buggy. Of course I had to think of a tactful way to say "Thanks for the free TFs but I already got the white one" so I ended up with Shockwave.
untrue they they had to have come from two different cases each case only contains 1 op 1 bb 1 heatwave and 1 chase i stock this stuff they probably just got two cases at once
Substitute the word case for shipment in my post. Still odd that they would sell everything except the two Primes. Kinda makes me wish I had gotten one.
