Transformers Rescue Bots: Beam Box (Preschool Semi-Skylanders TV Game)

Didn't see a thread on this neat little gem. Amongst the huge Hasbro reveals was the humble Rescue Bots Beam Box ($49.99), an interactive preschool game that beams figures of the 6 main Rescue Bots characters into a fun minigame-filled experience.

Video from Seibertron (Seems nobody else got such a comprehensive view or knows anything about it):

Join interactive rescue mini-missions with the TRANSFORMERS RESCUE BOTS BEAM BOTS GAME system. Plug the game directly into the television and place the TRANSFORMERS RESCUE BOTS figure inside the BEAM BOTS GAME system to see the pack light up and hear signature character voices as he is “reporting for duty!” Close the gate to ‘transport’ the TRANSFORMERS RESCUE BOTS character from inside the capsule and onto the television screen. The chosen RESCUE BOTS character then appears on screen and plays interactive missions in both robot and vehicle mode. Start the BEAM BOTS adventures with included OPTIMUS PRIME figure. Additional figures sold separately. Available at most major toy retailers nationwide and on HasbroToyShop.com.

Never played Skylanders but I hope this does well and they expand on it. So many possibilities.

It's basically a collection of 10+ very basic minigames for preschoolers that follow the Skylanders mantra of "toys come to life" by offering figures of the six Rescue Bots that enter a digital world with a "portal" (in this case, the spinning Beam Box) that transports them into the game.

Similar in concept but not quite a Skylanders version of Transformers. That'd be a HUGE money sink. It's still a cute concept and I'm sure kids will dig it.

Also added some more pictures to the first post.

Pixel Dan uploaded this vid recently. Doesn't have as much info as the one already posted, but it does have clearer audio of what happens when you plug the bots in.

We've had a thread about this before, but it wasn't this detailed. Awesome!

I'm a little diappointed that there will be fighting in the game. I'm sure I'll still get this for my son, but the main draw for Rescue Bots is that it was a non-violent Transformers show.
