Didn't see a thread on this neat little gem. Amongst the huge Hasbro reveals was the humble Rescue Bots Beam Box ($49.99), an interactive preschool game that beams figures of the 6 main Rescue Bots characters into a fun minigame-filled experience. Video from Seibertron (Seems nobody else got such a comprehensive view or knows anything about it): Transformers Rescue Bots: Beam Box Presentation
It's basically a collection of 10+ very basic minigames for preschoolers that follow the Skylanders mantra of "toys come to life" by offering figures of the six Rescue Bots that enter a digital world with a "portal" (in this case, the spinning Beam Box) that transports them into the game. Similar in concept but not quite a Skylanders version of Transformers. That'd be a HUGE money sink. It's still a cute concept and I'm sure kids will dig it. Also added some more pictures to the first post.
Oh my god I must have this, shame it'll be a while as the bloody show hasn't starting showing over here yet
Toy Fair 2013: Transformers Rescue Bots Beam Box Video Game System Demonstration - YouTube Pixel Dan uploaded this vid recently. Doesn't have as much info as the one already posted, but it does have clearer audio of what happens when you plug the bots in.
I'm a little diappointed that there will be fighting in the game. I'm sure I'll still get this for my son, but the main draw for Rescue Bots is that it was a non-violent Transformers show.
