"Space Choo-Choo", lol tfw2005. Astrotrain deserves respect! But he is a Voyager in Fall of Cybertron as well as Springer! Really cool! I am hoping we get a Deluxe Megatron and Deluxe Ironhide, Ratchet, Jetfire, Perceptor (so they go up to scale with Optimus Prime) and the rest of the Dinobots and Insecticons! I thought they will never make Fall of Cybertron figures again! Cool! (Hopefully not repaints)

 

Why would Springer be out of place as Voyager? The cartoon has often portrayed him to be bigger than Kup and Arcee, and close to Rodimus in height. He's definitely a bigger guy than the "normal" height bots, so Voyager doesn't seem out of place.

Astrotrain is so bought as long as he is an original mold and not just a repaint/remold of Springer.

 

I see no need for a Voyager of either, since both were nearly deluxe size in G1.

I'm fine with either, really.

I was very impressed with FOC voyager soundwave/soundblaster and hopefully grimmy and blaster are on the same level. So more voyagers in this style are cool with me.

Besides, springer and astrotrain already have pretty solid classics counterparts. No real harm done by doing a couple new versions of these guys in FOC style.

 

I could see it with Springer as he kinda had a futuristic alt mode but Atrain? Did you see what they did to Blast Off?

 

OH YES PLEASE! I'm excited for the potential here but also nervous about execution, can't wait to see pics!

 

But as of now, Rodimus is shorter than Kup and Ultra Magnus is shorter too. They need to give us a better Rodimus and Ultra Magnus soon.

 

Nah, it has three forms and they don't split apart. Compare the vehicle modes and you'll see that it actually has a very logical and easy transformation. The gun pops out or tucks in, the pods on the car (and I'm guessing the legs) pop out for copter mode, the front wheels retract and the pods open up to reveal missiles (probably the arms in robot mode with the shoulders being PRID styled)...The front changes, but that's probably just game cheating magic. At best the cockpit might pop forward a bit more.

Hopefully they would be the same size as the new voyagers.We're now up to 7 Wreckers in the FOC line.

 

the design or the toy?

highmoons concept and game design I like quite a bit. it's the toy that gets a bit lacking for me, probably due to the smaller deluxe scale. but I still think it was the best of the FOC combaticon figures.

so like I said I'm not too worried because the FOC voyagers so far have been rock solid. sure, it could still end up sucking, but I'll reserve judgment til we get some pics.

was there unused concept art for astrotrain in the back of the FOC artbook? that springer art looks familiar so it might have been in there too. I'll have to look when I get home.
