You know could go for a voyager Megs. I've yet to find one that I like.

Just not the FOC body. That design is ugly as sin!

I'm really laughing. Does this feel like a HUGE May\June 2012 deja vu to you all?

First tiny and incomplete pictures of FOC Bruticus [just the centrepiece and Swindle] appear on a magazine, fandom goes insane and gets drunk with hasbro's acceptance, offerings, this could be a definite answer to 3rd party companies, hasbro is listening to the fans, blah blah blah

Then Bruticus gets released and hilarity ensues with half the fandom saying it's an awful, empty, over engineered toy that compromises a lot, the other half almost liking it in the best colours possible.

Now, lineart of Springer is released with a mention of name for Astrotrain as voyagers, hasbro finally answers to 3rd party triple changers, blah blah blah, finally, stepping up the game etc.

I think I'll wait until we see exactly how good\bad the toys are until I can express my feelings. Especially since all we have right now is a lineart of a game.

And last time [granted, about 5 years ago?] hasbro made a voyager triple changer, it was Animated Blitzwing.

Willing to bet Springer will be revived soon enough in the IDW comics.

Count me in as excited for these. Hope they are triple changers, and I hope we get to see them at whatever the next public toy fair is.

Reserving judgement till we see actual toy pics. The FOC line has been a decidedly mixed bag for me, so hopefully these lean more toward the "good" end of the spectrum. Although I'm up for a new Astrotrain anytime, anywhere, so whether I like him or not I'm sure I'll end up purchasing it.

Kinda tired of Springer at this point.

Voyager Triplechangers. Too bad it is for the FoC line. I can only hope that this takes us one step closer to Generations/Classics Springer (although FP covered that) and Blitzwing. I think FP is also covering Sandstorm so we are covered there too. lol

I won't abandon my Warbot Defender and deluxe classics Astrotrain but if I see a triple changing repaint as Sandstorm though, that will be bought!

Considering FOC's track record, as well as every Springer figure post G1, I'll hold back any potential excitement until we actually see these things.

I'm not getting too excited about this. Seeing how the rest of the FoC line went, Springer and Astrotrain are almost certainly retools of each other, and there's really no reason to assume they'll be Triple Changers. Yes they are *supposed* to be Triple Changers, yes they are *supposed* to be totally different from each other, but look at the Wreckers.

I like the concept art for Springer, but I fear that Hasbro are not capable - even with Voyager dimensions to work with - of translating said art into an actual figure without some major compromises in accuracy. Consider the size of the wheels in automotive mode, and where they might store in pseudo-gunship mode; or how the wing shapes on either side of his chest are required to fold away for robot mode, fold out for automotive mode, and fold up for pseudo-gunship mode. I look forward to seeing images of the actual figure; but I can't say I'm holding my breath.

I've always wanted Springer ever since the ol' 86 movie

but I'm curious, is it a trait of FOC Voyagers to have a "light up" feature or was that unique to Grimlock?

art looks good, but I want to see how the actual Figure looks

Hmm, good theory. If astrotrain is remold of Springer,  The horror! Or if Springer is a remold of astrotrain, then that would be an absolute disaster. Astrotrain is a space choo choo, not a helicpoter. Springer is a Space helicopter/dune buggy, not a space choo choo.

Oh...ok. Well. Not sure how to react...Astrotrain should be great, potential classics stand-in. I'm excited, but i'm also like..."why?". Deluxe Megatron for scale please. Voyager for gimmick stuff.
