The real question is, when will hastak sell the purpe rainmaker or generics Its just as logical as no word acid storm

 

Besides Takara setting prices based on the Japanese market, their MP releases also have way better packaging than Hasbro's. Plus, collector cards.

 

Already went for the TT Soundwave so that's a pass.

But Acid Storm...oohh, definitely !!!

Hope he has a deco inspired by the CHUG figure and not the cartoon. Realistic military colors will look so much better than full body neon bright green.

 

Already have TT Soundwave but I may get Acid Storm. Not sure though I'd have to actually see him in stores before I can make my final call. Had it been Skywarp that was announced then I would definitely be sold. Acid Storm not so much

 

Which is prolly why Tomy bought Takara and not the other way around.

If the market can bear a higer price and Takara isn't charging it, then they are badly run and ripe for takeover.

skywarp didnt bomb. i work for walmart and walmart does not do these little one here or 2 here coming off a truck. if walmart gets an exclusive they want it in big bulk. they make a display for something like that ....there was no permanent home made for it. so it come in once but there is like 100 cases of it. thats why there were so many on clearance because of the huge amount they had. they display it for a week then mark it down ( regardless of sales)to make room for the next display

 

Imho Acidstorm is just clever choice. Atm you can buy all MP figures of seekers, from HASTAK or iGear (even ghost SS), only Acidstorm was missing. So, i defo understand this choice from Hastak and i hope it will have nice, quality colors.

 

I'll definitely get Soundwave as soon as he comes to the US, but Acid Storm I may have to see in person. I do love the Seekers, and if he's good enough he may be my first Masterpiece one, but I'll probably end up waiting for a sale if I do decide he looks good enough.  

 

i think ill just stick with TT soundwave. its a shame to spend the extra money but after the fiasco that went on with hasbro mp-10 i ll be much better off. i will find it hard to deal with tru after that shitstorm. acid storm, to me, is a why bother character

 

I love hasbro especially if they package it with all the cassetes man that would piss of fans of takara tomy soo much

Hm the name does fall under his previous pattern, but so far no sign of Ghost Starscream in the sales threads  

That said, I'm now considering holding off on Takara Soundwave and waiting for the Hasbro version   Just too much on my plate now with the upcoming Fort Max and the other Autobot cars.

 

By the way, TRU should bring Starscream, Sunstorm, Thundercracker and Acidstorm to europe, they will have better sales and also so we dont need to pay billions for overpiced shipping from USA (which they dont care ofc) :-(
