How does Hasbro play into this? Considering they have been cranking out figures for months now, delivering Beast Hunters and new Fall of Cybertron figures before any of us expected them to hit shelves, I'd say Hasbro has been delivering pretty well lately.

So, not sure how you can say Hasbro can't manage their business, considering they are one of the top toy companies in the US.

And that's good for you. If you're happy with just getting your figures, then the TFCC is great.

Delays always happen. I'm unhappy but at least I won't be clamoring on eBay when they arrive.

As I've always said, if you don't like it, don't buy it.

As for calling the card companies, I have always wondered what would happen if someone did follow through. Sure TFCC can say there is a 25% fee, but to my knowledge, if a company fails to deliver and someone calls their card company to get it reversed, I think the customer always wins that.

Butchrecon, if you do it, post the results for us to know. I'm curious if you'd win or not. Seems like the cardholder should...

I'm just saying that if it was me running this, i'd want word to get out to all the members, not just those who happen to check the website or another fan site. While i've seen it, and others here have, what about people who aren't online all the time? they've got a few thousand members (based on previous years toy numbers) there's no way that as of right now, every single member knows about this. had they used all resources to send out a quick note, just like the one they put on their website, 99% of people would know.

i get that, but then if figures like Circuit and Jackpot don't sell well, the club has no incentive to produce more obscure figures. While Scourge and Slipstream are the top 2 for most people, not everyone fits into most people. I, for one, am super excited about Circuit because i have an unhealthy love for Action Masters.

Exactly. G1 isn't just 1984-1986. Some of the characters from the later years want love too...

Well I do not know if this was posted but I called Funpub about the delay as i know a few of my friends are on the payment plan. I was told that the payments 'should' come out when the figures ship. Just like it was noted in the sign up forms. I was told if this or anything else changes they would send out an email.

I was thinking at that point like the 'email' they (never) sent out about the delay......

See they could have taken all preorders in advance for each individual figure and know exactly how many they need. Or since its supposed to be a "club" and all, why not put it to a vote on some rare obscure figures to see what your actual members would like to see. Its great for those who want to spring for the whole set but I think more people would have been on board if it was individual figures or if they all fit a theme like the Botcon sets.

I dont plan to do anything unless they say they wont deliver and take forever to refund. :)

I have ALWAYS had good luck with chase when it comes to purchase. No arguing nothing. I tell them I need it done, explain why, and bam they do it.

Yep I am. I am not worried so much about time frame on this one. I figured it would take a while. I also expected a delay or two. It happens. No big deal to me. In the mean time I have other things i am looking forward to, Fort Max, SG Sounwave/Blaster, Botcon, and finishing a few customs :)

And thank God it's not, or else you'd have to deal with all the arm chair executives who complain about everything beyond your control.

right? There're so many characters, from all the series, that I'd love to see done.

i get that, but i also think if you did a vote, then you'd end with with a group pissed that the figure they voted for didn't win. that happens here, when people put up polls about which Optimus Prime is better, so i can only imagine that using that to make a figure would lead straight down a bad road...

i do agree that a subscription set based on a theme would be great, i know they've got fiction for this group, but it's not the same. if the Animated Stunticons were subscription figures, people would be all over the set, just like they were at Botcon. hopefully next year we'll see a more unified set, but who knows. as long as the toys are cool, i'll be happy.

indeed i would. but, i think i'd like that job. i'd definitely like coming up with ideas for sweet figures.

Whatever....I have Scourge on preorder at BBTS. And I have no intention of holding up any POLs for it.

    Poop.

I'd be more disappointed if I paid in full, but being that I did the payment plan, I'm just a bit let down. Maybe because now I have more time to put back for those payments.

Still, was looking forward to this.

    Matty Collector is that you?

I love how they always blame the Chinese or the "factory" which obviously have vastly superior molding and process facilities, yet they always mess it up.

They act as if they don't own their own factories but just go randomly pick some guy in his garage to make them.

Did Funpub put in orders after the latest Beast Hunters or is the agreement to only make the Funpub figures when there is some manufacturing idle time?

Because they have hiccups like these all too often.

If it isn't product delays for whatever reason... there's issues with their geocities-styled webpage... and security that might as well be from said era... as they've had a couple CC issues recently.

If I didn't really want their Scourge and Ultra Mammoth figures... I wouldn't have even bothered to get a preloaded card to buy them. Sure as heck wasn't going to put my real CC info after two years in a row reading the forums regarding CC leaks.

Also expected them to be available early in the year so I can scrap whatever figures I don't want as resale/trade fodder... and then get the two I wanted. We now have *at least* a 3-4 month wait for the first figure... and if it winds up being bi-monthly for whatever reason... we won't see the whole set finished until 2014... which stinks. Horribly.

It'll be futile, but here's some logic to (hopefully) calm a few people down.
TFCC is not at fault for this.
    Delays happen.
Takara/Tomy have delayed Fort Max, the Alternity GTs, etc. due to some problems in the production lines.
If their releases are being pushed back, wouldn't everyone else's figures be delayed?
    Like the subscription figures?
    Just thinking logically here.

I hope everyone does realize that delays do happen ... but unfortunately TFCC seems to be in the wrong light all too often. Even something like a delay is negative stuff for them.

All of those things you just said are horribly ignorant.

The club doesn't even have direct contact with the factory. Everything has to first be run through Hasbro, who then deals with the factory. Right now there is currently something holding things up on the Hasbro side of things. This is not some sort of excuse. These sorts of things happen. It could be something unavoidable at the moment. Maybe the layoffs are causing a disruption in daily operations. Who knows.

I have absolutely no problem with the club taking flak for things it screws up on, but this is obviously outside of their control. Anyone who thinks they're lying when they says it's on Hasbro's end is a fool. They would have never said that without Hasbro's ok.
