This is actually starting to get me to want to watch season three, just to see if any of this has any relevance to what happens in the show.
It'll be interesting to see if they're really overhauling Prime, or if Hasbro just doesn't care. Recall that with DOTM we got a bunch of heavily redesigned battle versions of existing characters that had almost no relation to them onscreen. I'd been kind of assuming this might be the case with the new versions of old characters we've seen. But somehow this seems even weirder. Time will tell.
The more pics turn up make me think Optimus will not have his traditional face plate. Not for me....but I'm sure all the L.A.R.P.'ers will be happy.
Reminds me of Beast Machines Rattrap, even though the face is different. Maybe someday I'll see the prime series.
Season 3 needs to have a episode where Optimus Prime gets slimmed by Slimer then Agent Fowler bursts in with a proton pack and crosses the streams.
Wow. That has some kinda praying mantis mandibles on it. I'm sure the kids are gonna love this stuff... but again, cinches the deal that I'm not buying any of the stuff. Way off base for me as an adult collector. If you need me, I'll be in the Masterpiece and 3rd party threads.
The beast wars battle mask gimmicks are being repackaged on BH? Or re-imagined? The concept was cool then, I like it now. Hope it makes it to the toys.

It pains me to know you're too young to remember show's that when they ended, had an announcer say "The preceding as brought to you by..." That or I guess it wasn't that good of a joke. That part I mean. I stand by the rest of the post as comedy gold. Just read it in Tim Curry's post and let it wash over you.
So... Prime, in an effort to fight predacons, puts on a translucent green cockroach mask? WTF? EVERYTHING about Beast Hunters looks horrible. the regular toys, the dress-up masks... everything... far as I am concerned, Transformers Prime series ended with the Decepticons winning. All Hail Megatron!
Product clogging shelves not withstanding (because you do have a point there), we adult collectors conveniently forget that the core audience are kiddies. Kids like role play, especially around Halloween. We collectors may avoid masks like the plague (or so the voluminous product on shelves proves), but kids do buy them on occasion. Otherwise I doubt they'd make them. Y' think? I recall as a kid loving to run around the house dressed as my favorite superheroes, so why wouldn't other kids? In other words, chill on the sarcasm- ye who are too cool for school. We get it, you're too good for this stuff.
Ok so Optimus has stolen Waspinator's face and is wearing it as a trophy then ? He's back to his old face stealing tricks again I see.
