I paid USD$30 for Grimlock in Hong Kong. I'd be shocked if the US model was 10 dollars cheaper. That's an amazing price and definitely a good reason to check out TRU on shipping days
Glad he's showing up at retail, but I have a feeling many fans are going to be horribly underwhelmed. This guy did NOT meet my expectations. Granted, I've had him for weeks through RK, so have had the luxury of time spent with him that many have not yet had, which means rose colored glasses will be in full effect for many who are just now getting him, but once that bedazzled sensation inevitably wears off I have a feeling collectors are going to chock this guy up as a big ol' meh.
I'm a fan of Grimlock but this looks like crap, maybe Takara can add some paint to this to get me to jump on.

Couldn't agree more. I don't understand how they make the bulky guys skinny and Characters like the new Beast Hunters Prime bulky. Grimlock should be massive in BOTH modes. People say he's so big in bot mode but his legs are WAY to skinny and every other FOC Voyager so far is bigger. Same thing happened in the Animated line with Grimlock.
the lack of sku and the lack of sightings makes me wonder what's exactly going on here. tru's have been open round the country for a while now this morning.
I had the same thought, but I do remember GDO Deluxe, GDO Legion, and First Edition all had problems scanning in the TRU system when they came out.
Nothing is going on. All it means is the item with the new sku/upc (but same TRU item # used for FOC voyagers) hit the store shelves before the sku/upc was entered on a corporate level correctly into the system. Not an uncommon occurence in retail, especially in retailers that list items using multiple numeric/alphanumeric identifiers for a unique item. This can happen easily when dealing with assortment cases. Additionally stock does not hit all stores at once. Since distribution is by truck, it takes a while for each region and subsequently each store to get stock.
