Features G1 Prime and G1 Bumblebee in the first assortment. Prime's a new mold, looks like he's a "Spin Shot". Launchers don't look as fancy as the earlier ones, but they comes with targets to knock down now so there's a bit more play factor in these.

I don't like the implication that the arms are up like that all the time....

An Ark and Nemesis they could open and launched out of and then close up and look like they were driving out would be awesome.

Could have 2 little rotating guns on the outsides of the ships.

Prime looks pretty cool. I don't really know how these things work, I always see them at the store and don't bother looking at them. It sounds like they're kinda cool though.

Wonder if the launcher turns into anything. And I'm actually curious to see what Bumblebees launcher looks like

I'm worried about that too. Seems that with the wheels on the arms, they flip up when transformed.

Not sure how to feel about this. Still debating on whether to get the first Optimus or pay double for the current launcher that's out. Even though this is labeled as G1, based on the picture I think I like the first Bot Shot Optimus's head more.

Do the targets resemble anything to anyone? If that's what those red and blue things are. At best the blue things are equipment boxes?

Are the arms forced to stay up like that? I don't like it.

There is a pin in the arms so it might be possible to move them down - and if they are sprung and designed to stay in that scarecrow position you can at least find a way to hold them down in some way.

They should be out very soon anyway so we should soon know one way or the other.

Those launchers look like the ones in the dragon themed track/arena playset to me.

Even if they don't turn into anything they may perhaps still just be useful as decoration to a base bot as little refueling bays or ways to fire things around Micromaster bases and their ramps. They do look like little repair bays.

I will agree the old clamshell Trailer design was better though.

I notice the listing for the toys refer to Jumpshots and Flipshots not as that but as "Stunt 'N' Speed" :

    http://www.robotkingdom.com/service...atType=Category&II=A16340000&lang=us&CatID=41

    Sealed case includes:
    STUNT N SPEED BUMBLEBEE x 4
    STUNT N SPEED IRONHIDE x 3
    SUNSTORM x 2
    STUNT N SPEED SHOCKWAVE x 3

    Also the 3 packs and 5 packs that just came out in America as well as some we just saw on the Asian Auction site are listed as "In stock" & "Available now" : suggesting they should show up other places real soon ;

I hope that other Bumblebee isn't what they call "G1 Bumblebee" as he looks more like Bumper to me.

    The other thing that is interesting but puzzling to notice is this isn't the same mould as the other G1 Optimus as the other one is not a Spin-shot like the one in this post it's a Flipshot (I think ; Unless it's Jumpshot). But anyway notice the Launchers are the same general sort of design ;

I'll bet the spin-shots spin-fight like Beyblades when in robot mode.

The instructions show they are rotated at the waist and then pushed down to lock them - then when they are pushed and collide with something they rotate at the upper body and knock flying to the side what they have crashed into (namely another botshot or the skittles that come with the launchers).

The idea that might work with a spin shot is to build a pile of Botshots and propel them into it and see how many you can set off.

Jumpshots are charged by pressing them down and then jump straight up when they hit something. I suspect the way you play with them is to impact two on opposite factions and then when they land you automatically loose if they don't land on their feet.

Flipshots back flip away from what they have struck. it demonstrates a fun way to play in the instructions that shows Bumblebee hitting another botshot causing it to back flip over the one placed behind it the idea being to make the one in the middle flip without activating the one at the back of the queue.

I think the springs in them work a bit like the ones inside some Masters of the Universe figures. I don't think that Spin shots really spin so much as quickly rotate just once or twice when acctivated. they certainly are not spinning tops as they are only activated by a spring.

It may be possible to use a more elaborate charged spring mechanism and have them actually forcefully rotate repeatedly but I don't think they actually do that and it's not really safe if they did do that.

Perhaps they might make a subcatagory of them with pull back motors in that work more like a jumpstarter's motor then they could be more forceful than they are.

I wonder if it's possible to get a Jumpshot to be propelled down a ramp cross a little cardboard speed bump you could make then leap into the air (while moving) and come crashing down onto their enemy - rather than just bumping into them and dragon punching them. (Note Shockwave even has a huge fist suggesting that is the idea).

With pictures, I can safely say I'll probably pass on the track unless some video review reveals some crazy gimmick that makes it worthwhile. The Optimus and Megatron (If the box didn't say who he was, I'd have no idea) just aren't doing it for me.

I will pick up the G1 Optimus though just for the fact that his vehicle mode has a trailer too and he's supposed to be completely G1-based. Just don't like his big feet... Is it just me or do they seriously look bigger than the first Optimus's?

Bumblebee's vehicle mode is barely G1. I'll pass on him and his pissed off face. Those red targets are now known as Cyber Pins!

Interesting that the Sunstorm chase is 2 per case. I guess I'd want him and Shockwave from that wave.

I like that the back of the boxes show both modes of every guy included. It was something I felt the previous 3-packs needed.

It's pretty much movie Bumblebee without the stripes. So I guess that means we have a striped version to look forward to.

Told you he looked more like Bumper.

    Those Cyberpins are interesting though.

I wonder if that "Megatron" is a spoiler for the Beast Hunters Megatron's reformatted form ? (or at least his colours). Or if he's just inspired by Cybertron Megatron ?
