Full Metal Hero Forum - Spotlight: Thundercracker Preview

Featuring Waspinator's entrance into the IDW continuity! It's a shame the full comic was leaked so early, but at least it'll actually be out this week.

 

Hopfully Waspinator shows up more.

 

First new Bot-Shots and now Waspinator! All they need to do now is confirm a Masterpiece BW Inferno and I'll be set for life.

 

Ugh, there goes fat-face Bumblebee again...

Anyway. Looks decent so far. Might not bother rushing out for it.

It feels weird to see Waspinator. Lumping all the characters together from every point in time was more of an Animated schtick. Still, I do love the guy and maybe this is just the fate of all Hall of Famers.  

In fact, I guess I wouldn't hate seeing the Beast Warriors in IDW fighting on a far-flung planet. It's just weird to see then lumped in with everyone else, especially IN their Beast Wars designs.

Of course the appearance of Insecticons is funny on its own...but their origin in AHM was stupid anyway, and Deluxe Insecticons could just be a different group altogether.

 

Spotlight Thundercracker preview

I could have given you a 8 page preview two weeks ago.

 

I already have the comic. Interesting take on the character I must say.

 

*SIGH* I was really looking forward to seeing what Thundercracker has been up to of late, set in the past, this disappoints me. if for no reason else than it ruins my IDW Collection vol. 1, along with Spotlight Pax and the god awful Autocracy

 

Why is the art so horrible?

Great way to end a preview.

 

That art looks like it was done for free by students. The lines aren't THAT offensive, but with the colors it's just... yuck.

 

Did I go back in time? Isn't this issue already out?

 

Yeah, I could have sworn that it was out already.  

 

Yeah, Waspinator doesn't even serve a purpose in the story. He's just there as a random replacement for a deluxe Insecticon.

 

It's probably set-up for another appearance by Waspinator later on.

It's an ok issue, but the lack of a speaking role for Waspinator disappointed me, still doesn't resolve what Metroplex's mission is though.

 

Preview? I already have the comic. Anyway... I wonder why Bumblee is so fat, I thought he would look like that because he became leader of the Autobots. Before he was more of a cute young looking robot.
