Still waiting for a Sideswipe and a Sunstreaker...

 

I was momentarily excited by the prospect of the Almost-Aerialbots, but they just aren't close enough to the characters Classic looks to trigger the nostalgia effect in me and make them must owns.

These look like they're probably decently fun little toys too fiddle with, as earlier botshots were, but not quite strong enough in variety and homage-osity to win me back from Kreons for my cute little TF needs.

Btw does it feel weird to anyone else that they use "Aerialbots" on the Kreons but not here? I don't have time to check right now but was Quickslinger the rename Slingshot got for the Kreons too? I think so. Same with Firestrike/Fight.

The package art makes Silverbolt look G2 blue. Cute.  


-ZacWilliam, feels a bit bad for Airrazor, Slimgshot's onetime replacement. Gone for good I expect. Also, darn it but I wish Sky Dive's colors were closer to G1. I love that look and I miss seeing it here.

 

I was going to mention how random the Cybertron Dirt Boss homage was.  

They all look good, I'll likely end up getting most of them.

Dirt Boss, like, what the hell, really? Not that I mind, though. he looks really awesome and maybe this means we'll get more obscure guys.

I need to get the Dirt Boss/Cliffjumper/Brawl pack, Sunstorm, and the Aerialbots. I don't really want the latter group, but I have to get every character. That makes me happy about that new Skyquake which is basically a darker Acid Storm - it means that I won't have to buy that set. Granted, I still need the original Skyquake, but still.

That one would be our fourth Brawl, although it's also a new mold. Kinda weird, though. Why couldn't they call the other ones Quake or Flywheels or something, rather than giving us four Brawls?

I really wish they'd given the new teams proper names. Silly or not I'd be much more interested in Polarbots and Infernocons than in these prosaically named squads.

-ZacWilliam, the little sliver of extra effort just would have made them feel more like real teams and more interesting fictionally.

No-one buys these, btw. They are pegwarming everywhere in Hungary. I really wish they wouldn't have killed off Robot Heroes - that stuff dissappeared off pegs in weeks - for this.

I'll get sunstorm. Bot Shots has so far been the quickest and cheapest means to a large seeker jet collection.

Ironhide looks fun. Everything about him exudes "douchebag".  

I know there's only so many Bot Shot jets to work with, but couldn't they at least let Air Raid be one of the F-15-ish jets in dark colors?

Those are some pretty orange-ish looking versions of Shockwave and Barricade.

Regarding the re-names, yes, that red/black Starscream really should have been named Thrust instead. Perfect opportunity missed.

Ah well, the rest look nice.   Good to finally see Cliffjumper and Sunstorm showing up. And the Decepticon fire team looks interesting.
