Why green? Green just makes this thing look bad--love the robot mode though.

Bad colors and the lack of colors hurt this guy big time.

Is this really a Voyager class figure? It looks small to me for some reason...

 

That's an interesting looking figure. It's like Animated, Energon, Cybertron, and Prime all had a baby. I'm interested I think ... we'll see.

 

He looks great, can't wait to buy him.

 

I'm not a "hater", I'm a "disliker". The FE and Cyberverse Optimus are two of my favorite molds, not to mention me being a huge Optimus fan in general.

It just looks like a new design team are working on these. Hard to believe this is the same line as before. Optimus' face looks like an old corpse with a new body attached (may be fitting based on the recent events, but still). It almost looks skeletal.....

 

Very Nice! Needs a bit of detailling done and the green has to go (on less thats how he appears in the show) but, awesome looking. I hope he is as big as Voyager FOC Soundwave.

I am a novice to painting but would a black magic marker with future floor finish tint the windows black and get rid of the green or would the green still shine through?

 

Still prefer FE Prime... but this figure is worthwhile enough to get and repurpose I suppose... Who would work as a repaint though... Toxitron? Motormaster? An older deco of a Prime variant or repaint? ...hm...

 

Yeah, here's hoping for a blue window Takara version.

He is SOOOO ripe for a repaint as Motormaster AND Nova Prime. That would be ahhhhmazing. I'd buy those for sure. Heck, I'd take back all the mean things I said about this mold if they put out a Nova Prime version.

Looks nice. I doubt that model will end up in the show, but he still looks like a cool toy.

Looking forward to adding him to my Optimus Prime collection...

Hope the TFCC sees this and thinks Motormaster as much as everyone else... We almost have a full team of Prime Stunticons. (In name at least)

 

goddamn it. I was hoping to stay clear of beast hunters, but with smokescreen and now this prime that looks like it takes a lot of cues from cybertron prime, I'm going to be at least 2 figures in.

seriously went from garbage to definite pickup from those pics. looks great.

 

Besides the face, the silly look of the vehicle mode, and the atrocious green, I just realized another thing that bothers me about the toy... it seriously looks like his torso is stapled to his hips...

Well, if that's what Season 3 Prime looks like, I think I'll just end TF-P at season 2 with the Decepticons winning the War... yeah, it's somewhat disappointing, but it's better than ... WHATEVER... that is.

It pains me to say that, too, since usually the Optimus Prime figure was the bare minimum I would get of a new line of Transformers, since they USUALLY put a lot of effort into the flagship character... this just looks lazy.

 

Why did Optimus take Megatron's Shoulder spikes? I like the wings and what appears to be chunk, but the vehicle mode looks like a mess and those colors are much to bright. Also the head...need to see a close up there.

Looks like the torso takes after FOC Prime though.

 

I had a couple Ebay gift cards so I bought one. We'll see if I get this before BBTS sends it.

So instead of A mouth he's got a f^%king beak?!!! man just put on the first edition head on thsi thing and call it a day.

They managed to get some solid poses out of the figure. Looking better.

It'll never be my favourite Optimus, but it'll probably find a place on my shelf.

I'm curious if this supposed to be a cybertronian mode, or is there some other explanation. (other than, y'know Beast Hunters, with spikes now)
