I think the low quality is part of the effect of the ad, that shockwave's Lab is in ruins, and the "transmission" is kinda of crappy on purpose, to help create the "seriousness" of the situation

 

I'd say this is definitely an ad for the toyline rather than the show. The more static animation, Shockwave's voice actor blatantly not David Sobolov, and it not matching up with the preview for the series etc.

 

For someone devoid of emotions, isn't his tone about right?

February?! Thank goodness! Late Winter sounds much better than Spring, which usually means the end of the season.

Low quality? What clip are you watching? The animation is on par with the shows. A video transmitting footage from a lab in tatters and with a terrible power source would probably look a bit distorted.


I guess I'm the only one who likes this Shockwave voice more than the previous--sounds more like the way I think Shockwave should sound. The VA isn't Corey Burton:'( but it sounds much closer to his and that I like.

 

You can tell from the voice and the quality of the CGI (look at how Shockwave moves) that this is just solely for the toy commercials

Shockwave sounded different, but perhaps that was to give the impression of distortion/bad quality of the transmission because of the ongoing destruction? I could have swore I heard David's voice here and there.

I got the impression there was more than one. Shockwave could have taken just one to show Megatron then returned to his lab and the others with it.

It just may turn out that it's Autobots/Decepticons being hunted by the Predicons or Autobots/Decepticons hunting the Predicons. Or a bit of both. The season is shaping up to be quite interesting.

Or I could be way off base and it's just a toy commercial.

Well, that was rather underwhelming. It wasn't up to scratch with the rest of Prime, so for something that the title of the video tries to indicate is part of Prime, it just doesn't work for me. That being said, I don't see how this lines up with the trailer we've already seen. Shockwave willingly brings Predaking with him. This suggests he's back at his lab where Predaking has gone crazy, but why would he be there with Shockwave? I dunno. It's possible, but I'd say it's just advertising the toys.

 

it could be a potential spoiler! maybe just maybe shockwave and prediking ,predicon come though the portal as time passes ( lets say 5 ep latter) the predicons become rogue with megs/ and the decepticons!

 

This is a dumb way to end Transformers Prime. What had been a great 2nd season looks to give way to a stupid 3rd & final one. I really wish they hadn't messed up Prime this way. The toys are junk, the cartoon is ruined and the movies need a reboot. Hasbro..fix this mess please.

Hmmmmm....as others have said, this vid doesn't seem to predate or follow the other vids for Beast Hunters....but okay....maybe this one is AFTER Shocky introduces Predaking to Megs, returns to Cybertron and things take a very bad turn....for Shocky at least.

That's the feeling I'm getting from this. Especially given that the first thing we've seen of the actual show is Shockwave bringing Predeking to earth.

This vid, especially with the sub-voice, feels very much like an ad for the BH line then anything that'd be canon for the show.

 

Lord I hope we are gonna get a voyager shockwave toy out of this line.

 

yes it was confirmed that there was supposed to be a season 4, however this trailer seems to be fake to me the voice is not the same and makes no sense. Shockwave was shown bringing Predaking through the ground bridge or space bridge either.
I have no interest in the third season or 4 if Optimus is not in it, if he isn't in it them I will no longer be watching it.

That's a pretty elaborate and expensive fake, don't you think?

 

Seeing how Optimus is getting a new Voyager mold with an alt mode more closer to his Cybertron and Animated versions you won't have to worry about Optimus not appearing any time soon.
