yeahiknorite?!?! ive been wanting a mp soundwave since mp optimus first caught my eyes when he first came out!! and now we/i are/am getting one AND we're getting MASTERPIECE MINIONS TOO!??? o m friggin g! thank you takara, hasbro, the gods of toydom, my parents, the teache....oh...sorry... whoo soundwave!!
It's always nice to know the term "fandumb" exists for a reason. All this over reacting is amusing. And for the record my MP-12 is among those that are perfectly fine.
17 pages of crying.................................... Really the thread is 17 pages of crying.... I hope everyone who is crying gets scratched ones or something. Anyhow, these things look badass and Takara or Hasbro for that matter do not have to give us shit, period. I do agree for the prices involved(especially now that they are considerably higher) there should be zero issues and/or Has/Tak should stand behind it. I could deal with the issues and there would be a lot less whining/crying if they would actually put out fixes for folks or make the parts available. The third parties do it, but their runs are considerably smaller and are not on a true mass produced line. Still where is all that Japanese quality and honor? Takara the next Honda? Are we going to have Masterpieces with unintended acceleration?
Frenzy and Rumble just seem to be MP of their G1 toys. They look nothing like the toons, tey look a little awkward.
I'm hoping there's a hasbro version, but feels like there wouldn't be(the minions I mean). I can see Hasbro bringing MP soundwave, with one cassette as accessory (hopefully 3) Hopefully I'll get them (Takara or Hasbro version) and grateful that these were even made.
After the incredible success MP Optimus was at $100 and up, I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro brought us Soundwave and all 5 cassettes at a premium price point like Optimus had.
He'd probably be packaged in bit mode. Pushing his eject button. Chest open and his minions displayed around him.
I could see it as a SDCC exclusive too, though I would hope it would be a TRU release since that should still be easier to pick up for non-SDCC-goers than a TRU exclusive, even if distribution problems pop up again.
I'd be a little more about the hips on Rumble and Frenzy than anything else. They look worryingly thin. That said, I don't see how I could pass up either set, even though I don't give a toss about Buzzsaw, simply to have a complete MP Soundwave display.
Looking more, aside from the paint, I love most things about these molds. They look awesome and only compromise where it allows for three cassettes to fit into Soundwave. The two things that stand out for me as little negatives are the ball joints, shame the arms can't go the other way, and the black ribbon around the pile drivers. I'm not sure why that's there. I must have missed a comic or episode that had these?
What's with the Jay Leno chin on the Rumble/Frenzy mold? It looks like Jay Leno dressed up as a Transformer for Halloween. Anyone else see it or is it just me?
i hate the goatee chin there is no need for it ...the designer was supposed to be going for g1 cartoon accuracy and the face is not anywhere near that ..i love the rest of it but that bugs me the same goes for mp11 there was no need to give it a goatee and the same for sideswipe
