And since I noticed that, I've been paranoid that the entire top of the car is a big, ugly clear piece... but that's probably just me.

 

I was convinced I wouldn't want any of the Beast Hunter characters (other than the actual Beasts/Predacons) because of all the ridiculous spikey remolds they've gotten... and then they show us Smokescreen, who looks like a straight mold of his in-show design, but with removable armour so he can match the wacky aesthetic the others have. And also making him instantly better than the Arms Micron version.

We're talking about the toy, not the damned animation model.

 

 

To me it looks like they:

1. are separate pieces from the chest.

2. could easily swivel into place.

 

If the animation models are similar - then you'd expect the toys to be different?

 

According to the box, his car mode headlights are clear and the ones on his chest are painted.

 

No, they're both painted yellow. However, it is very obvious that the chest is a single molded fake piece.
In the box you can see the car mode headlights next to his arms.

 

We're not talking about how similar the kneecaps are! They aren't the same mold.

I never said they were the same mold, I was agreeing that they look similar & that could cause the confusion.

I just noticed Cyberverse Bulkheads legs are facing the wrong way in the pics

They look like they're facing the right way, but they bent the knee wrong to look like Bulk's gotta touch of genu recurvatum.

last time i cheek at bbts/robotkingdom/tfsource not yet! wave 1 is on Preorder!
but Wave 2 Not yet(bulkhead,smokecreen and starscreeam, and ripclaw not preoder yet!

 

I really want to get Smokescreen, with the armor looks removable based on how it looks and the package suggesting its separate like the weapon. I don't mind the fake chest, it makes the robot mode looks sleek, but not sure about his forearms.
Bulkhead, I would love to own it for kicks but I might have to pass. I like his weapon though, looks like an easter dragon head design and I personally love spinning melee weapons.

 

This probably bodes well for a theoretical TFP Shockwave toy.

 

But who said it was the counter of someone who purchased it.Could've been a transformers fan who works at a retail store who sells them and decided to take a pic of them so the rest of us knew they were out.There's just too many variables.
