Sponsor Update - Captured Prey!

I am placing the blame of locking me into the "sale" for close to a year with nary a finished product to show for it. There have been "production shots" of these for a while now, they just kept being changed and the release pushed back, 3 or 4 times now, each a 3 month delay. I expect another update in March telling us how they still aren't done yet, because "bagging them takes so long" Seriously?

So that must mean it's going to take the small operation of CP forever to package them for shipment right? That's the current "delay" excuse, they are a small operation, so bagging them takes time. So there's another 3 months with CP sitting with my money, collecting interest on it, when I could have been collecting it and buying other REAL items with my money.

When they got pushed back from Q2 2012 to Q3, than Q4, pre-orders should have been allowed to be canceled. It was a pre-order, not a Kick-Starter funding, a 1 year delay a unacceptable, and since it's a CP exclusive, YES, they get all the heat for the delay. I didn't give my money to another company, they did, that's on them.

Anywhos, trolls aside, I can't believe CP hasn't had this a long time ago. Orson is great, great customer service (to cvmaas - just curious, did you actually ever email CP/Orson/Sidecutter and ASK? Or did you just start bitching on the internet?), and is a great guy.

I agree with you that it's an unfortunate situation with the Shooters that left a bad taste in my mouth, however I found that I was able to communicate with them and get the situation partly rectified. It has definitely made me think about ordering from manufacturers who aren't as established. CP is still a good store though IMO.

This is awesome news. Orson runs a great store and 99.9% of my online Transfromer purchases go through him. CP has great service and the best part is he is fan first.

For the sake of clarity, since it seems to be needed - while Sidecutter does have personal ties to the people behind Mastershooter Collectibles (they are based in nearby cities and we all know each other in the area), he is not MSC. He does not hold any stake in MSC in terms of finances, ownership, design, production, or otherwise. MSC is an independent company.

And as I also know the people behind MSC, I can verify that the issue was not changes, it was the factory taking multiple revisions in order to properly follow the requirements that were detailed to them in the beginning.

Personally - I'm content to just let it live as-is. I know that I'll get my toys (which weren't even that expensive, granted I only bought the set to go with BotCon Spinister) as soon as they're made. Noone is scamming anyone. Release dates change. Shit happens. And yet again - if you contacted Sidecutter, he'd work it out with you.
