You know what I can't get over regarding Omega? That Hasbro/Takara really went the extra mile to do it right. They didn't have to remold the head and arm. They could have taken the easy route and just released Energon OS in G1 colors. A lot of fans still would have bought him, because he'd still be the most G1-ish Omega around for a Classics collection. But the new (really well-sculpted) head and arm go so far in selling this as a different, updated figure. It shows that HasTak really does know its product and its fan base. I'm grateful to whichever designer/engineer/brand manager stood by his or her guns and convinced the budget guys that this was a worthwhile thing to do.

Indeed. Now that I think of it... I'm wondering if that head simply doesn't remove from the post like the Energon version pretty much has to. There was that big old nub scuplted to look like an even more comically undersized head... and it slides into that panel where the proper Headmaster/Minicon attaches to... maybe it somehow does something similar?

Still... if it is detachable... I can see a 3rd party possibly making a newer and larger head for Omega... preferably a larger cast of this head... because really, this is a fantastic sculpt. They did a great job... just... it's tiny.

I'm torn between Omega Supreme and FT's Quake Wave. Decisions, decisions...

I like this figure, I just hope that Amazon is more reasonable than BBTS.

Also does that head transform like the original or what?

It's a shame the head is so small. The head sculpt and detail are fantastic. If it was just a bit bigger, OS would be perfect.

Something looks off about Omega Supreme to me. I don't know, I can't say. Maybe it's the way the head looks or the all over the place color scheme. I wish they went more G1 instead of WFC.

Are you able to pose the antennae on the back of Omega Supreme's head? In some pics it's pointing up and in others you can't see it.

Does the Omega mold have any kind of ankle side-to-side swivel? (I know the pictures don't indicate any, but sometimes they forget to use them)

Aw dang, that's a pity. It could have been done, sort of how the Inferno/Grapple/Hotspot mold kind of does it (the front of the feet rotate so you can keep the base flat against the floor, it looks pretty cool).

It'd be so much cooler for action posing.

Ankle Tiltes were not engineered in 2004. You got understand that this toy is almost 10 years old.....

wow I feel old for saying that.

I doubt the new head comes off. The baseplate it connects to is an entirely new piece, and the only reason I can think of that they'd do that is for the head to be permanently connected.

for some reason not being a head master like the original energon version of the mold really bums me out.

still awesome looking though and probably going to get it just less excited now
