As I explained in just a few posts ago, the head sinks down into the new platform. Then we got the new pics that prove it.

Of course the platform and head can't fit inside Omega while Optimus is in there, that's not how the combination works. Never has been. There's no room for the platform inside his body without the head while prime is in there either. The platform swings up in combined mode, not down.

The head does not come off.

Hmmm, interesting. Didn't see that claw pic.

I do believe the newest pics help the most. Conjecture is one thing, but seeing is another.

EDIT: I am sure a screw driver would work to take the head off if one so desires

I am curious to see if the headmaster from the original omega would fit onto the spot where one would remove the head (via screwdriver)

It will looks a little strange when optimus is in there if the panel that sticks out still has Omega's head on it.

Yep. But you can always turn it around and have the cannon face forward.

I was going to be satisfied with encore Omega Supreme in my classics collection but these new pictures have sold me, I have preordered. I do have two Energon Omega Sentinels so they will make nice Guardian Robots.

Now I kinda want a pre-Transformers black repaint Toybox version of this mold...
