according to google translate it might be Megs cant say it looks anything like him unless we are thinking about the spychanger with SG's colours

really looking more at the SG and this guy the colours match up freakishly well

Silver arms with black hands? Check

red details on the legs? Yep tho Alternity uses the feet rather the shin area

Silver chest? Yep seeing what colour the hood will be while the Alternity toys chest is mostly black in robot mode it will have a good deal of silver in the GTR mode.

small bits of yellow? check

I'd say its a good chance of it being SG Megatron gone all Alternity. This would also make it fitting for him to use a prime body I guess (well as much as it does fortmax and star sabre to use it)

 

Isn't it supposed to be Fort Max?
I recall people saying that besides Optimus and Star saber we were supposed to get a Max in this line.

Love the weapon. Best of the 3 so far.

 

Yeah Megatron looks amazing. I love the Race Queen design too, with the classic Decepticon black and purple.

Not sure why people would think it has anything to do with SG. The SG's colors are normal G1 Megatron's colors too, just in different proportions.

So they tried removing the Samurai bits on this version it seems? Would be curious to see the actual figure.

Still... I'd also like ideas as to what to repurpose him into... cuz yea... this mold's never felt like Megatron to me. Same goes for PRime. Good figs, but really, can't see them as the Bot/Con leaders.

 

Honestly think this is the best one yet with those colours and that gun! Just wish they were cheaper. Really surprised they have gone this route when a Megatron mold already exists - strongly suggests that the GT line will only get this one mold. Shame. A WRC Suzuki or Motorsport 370Z would have been pretty cool.

^ Agreed. G1 GT-R Megs looks pretty damn nice, especially with his fusion cannon inspired gun (a bit of Shockwave with the back hose too). But the price really hurts. Red Convoy's gun looks a bit daft by comparison; it's more gas/water pump nozzle or handheld megaphone than a gun, to my eyes.

The only one I'll be getting for sure is the green/white "Fort Max" version; he'll be my Alternity Wheeljack due to the colors alone (and the sponsor logos are a callback to Jackie's racer Lancia alt mode). I even like green/white Sailor Moon inspired Racing Queen he comes with, compared to the other girls who seem more like the typical racer sponsor models.

 

They didn't remove anything. It uses the Convoy/GT-R mold, not the Z.

 

Out of all the versions, this one seems to be the best. Interesting colors, interesting altmode, awesome weapons, and he works the best as a completely new character for mingling on your shelf.

 

I've not bought any of these. What's the price point?
