I think it's a legacy argument left over from the fact that the Minicon 8 pack is also in red packaging but isn't marked as Generation - but then neither are some other (what used to be called) 'Market 6' toys either.

Yes I'm well aware of that but it's not quite that simple (mores the pity) what about a UK Sunspot - no HFTD stickers as it was released in the UK after the Online campaign of the same name had ended and before Reveal the shield shiped. Technically and regardless of the name RTS is a direct continuation of HFTD and speaking specifically of the UK the likes of Breacher (with a HFTD sticker) or without and Sunspot (no sticker) and Brimstone (with or without a sticker) and so were all shipped either one after another under the same barcode number or in some cases even in the same case.

This leads to much confusion to those who try to see that family of lines as Movie toys - or Generations/Universe related toys as they don't quite fit that they are both really I suppose to some extent.

But then when you compare Axor to Lockdown and Brawl to Fallback or Mindwipe to Strafe they are similar toys but some still say that one is movie and one is not - And Solarstorm Grappel clearly isn't anything other than a classic toy and HFTD Leader class Starscream is obviously 100% a Movie toys so as I keep suggesting - it's all a bit "Complex".

The Transformers Wiki just calls the line "Transformers (2010)", with "Hunt for the Decepticons" and "Reveal the Shield" being sub-sets similar to "Allspark Power" and "Premium Series" for the Movie line.

Holy Cow, I found a bunch of this guy at a Family Dollar over a month ago. I even bashed one into a Supernatural Metallicar several weeks ago. I had no clue that finding him was news.

Yep, must go on a search with the next week or so. NC is pretty close, maybe a few fell off the truck and landed here in TN. :D

Would be very strange if they only issued one of the 8 pack on a single card.
Speaking of single carded Minicons any one see the silver Decepticon vehicle ones any time aside from in BBTS ?

Those were canceled a few days after BBTS listed them, saying the manufacturer had axed the item. And they weren't meant to be single, they were supposedly going to be packed together in one box/blister.

And now that we know its just Iron Claw, and that a few people have sighted it, I'm on the hunt!

Now that is a price that seems fair... at least in today's market...

Oh, so THAT'S what this is about...I stopped by a Dollar General that I never usually go to to pick up some household stuff, and Drivetrain was on the pegs in the toy section. I've never heard of him before.

Yeah tell me about it - speaking as someone who has ZERO DVD edition Microns but wanted them all - I just didn't like having to pay £40.00 or so for each one. (along with a DVD I had no need for - it was only a little more to get a White Chromia (Minerva) boat with a DVD or a red Excillion or the grey Noisemaze.

Shame as there was some colours and teams I really liked but I was not quite so crazy as to spend the hundreds and hundreds of pounds to get them. but at least they were obtainable - the Space Galaxy Destruction team I only ever saw as pack ins with convoy auctions that cost over £90.00 plus postage so all 3 team members and postage would have been at least £350.00 and perhaps more. and then I'd have to try to off load 3 unwanted Micron Legend Convoys... so yes Micron Collecting is a difficult choice. And I luv the little fellas.

I just hope I can still pick the ones I need up from time to time from people clearing their Japanese Unicron Trilogy collections is all.

i sold my Space Destruction team for 500 on ebay in about 3 hours.

I am selling my DVD minicons for about 650 for the whole set. You need to figure each set of three is about 50 bucks. Granted i think if you sold them each on there own you might get 25 a piece for them.

Yep. Many collectors aren't aware that there are some insanely rare and expensive Microns/Minicons since it's a such a niche in our hobby. A little bit of research will open some eyes, though. Gracious . . . .
