It's the optional stickers on the recent AM's that are really making me love this line.  

 

I have to admit, even though the head sculpt doesn't work, the Thundertron mold looks really good in those colors.

 

Ohhhhh Leo Prime colors really work well on that mold.

 

Yeah, I really want to own this mold, and this deco is the perfect excuse because I don't collect TF Prime. Gonna have to find a suitable replacement head for him, though...

Why do the Japanese get all the good stuff? Except when they're changing blue to blue. AM Dreadwing and Ultra Magnus are in a lighter blue I find very unappealing.

 

I wish I could say I was into that Magnus, but I just can't do it.

You know whats kind of funny, is the Prime colors actually help make the Thundertron design look even more pirate like.

Gives off the look of him actually wearing a big red coat and blue captain's hat.

 

You and me both. I love the US release and was going to preorder this one as well since I often prefer the paint apps on the Takara figures, but this guy is way too much of a baby blue for me. I definitely prefer the Hasbro release, so this one is an easy pass.

 

Right, now I have to buy Leo Prime.... Dammit. I'm still not digging the colours as much as Thundertron, and I think Ultra Magnus is still a bit meh (and yet, I'll be buying him anyway), but yeah, I'm a sucker.

 

is leo thundertron really taller then the hasbro version, or is that just some one transforming it differently to make it look taller?

with that said, i like both toys. and i think they do look good together. I think i am liking the minicons more then the gimmick hasbro is currently using for the voyagers. too.

 

I was amused when I noticed Swerves Micron looks like a Quintesson Croc Guard - I notice Leo Prime's looks like 'Moon'.

Indeed. Hell, make that blue crest black and you have a pretty damn good pirate-themed Transformer.

I wish Takara were not so stingy that they leave out the secondary accessories like Prime's Sword, Starscream's Missiles, Skywarp's Rockets, Dreadwing's sword or Magnus' Missile so often as they do. Heck I feel Magnus needs two rockets really.

They actually gave you the sword with Battle Shield Optimus but that was a rare event and there's even an argument to be had that Arms Micron Breakdown possibly should have had a shoulder cannon too.
