Dude if Megs get's his FOC body I will be pissed. Just because Costa's run sucked doesn't mean we have to elminate everything from it. There were good parts.

 

I don't think the change would be with purpose of forgetting everything Costa did, if forgetting what shitty writers did was the purpose they would've skipped everything Shane McCarthy did as Giant Robot Amnesia.

I think all the body redesigns are more like Hasbro wanting the designs they made for the games showing up everywhere. That Dinobots comic has the FoC designs for them too.

 

Because I guess the idea of things existing as seperate but equally relative aspects of the franchise scares them.

I mean, that really is putting all your eggs in one basket. Was FOC even that successful? And why choose the Stay-Puftformers as the poster children?

And that's even if Megaron gets redesigned in FOC-style.

I will be disasppointed if Megatron is redesigned into FOC style, but I can accept if the story makes up for it.

Why does it matter if he gets put into his FOC body? Isn't that better than the ridiculous looking made-up Cybertronian modes like the one Swindle is sporting atm? Besides, was there any hubub when Prowl, Bumblebee, Soundwave, etc. changed to the WFC bodies?

 

That's the point i'm trying to make. A opinion is just a opinion, there is no right or wrong.

 

FOC Megatron is kinda... sucky.

The one thing I dread is that everything Barber has been doing to finally move the stories in a direction away from "ONOES ENDLESS WOAR!!" will be swept away by the return of Megatron. I seriously, SERIOUSLY hope that this preview isn't a red herring, and that it's to assuage everyone's fears about the old status quo being re-instituted.

 

I had not really seen FOC megs re design so i was a little confused why there was so much hate for the idea of IDW megs looking more like that since I quite liked the WFC design but looking it up yeeeeeesh I dont know why they made such awful changes.

 

Not digging the art (or Alpha Trion tumbler) of Spotlight: Orion Pax, but the story seems interesting enough. Will pick that one up.

RID preview does nothing for me. Even with Megatron walking back into town it looks like the same snorefest as before (storywise).

 

If they HAVE to give Megatron a cybertronian design they should go with the WFC Megs.

At least we have a toy of it and it doesn't look like ass, which is something I can't say for FOC Megatron.

And he should keep his colours. WFC Megatron look much more badass in black.

 

Unlike MTMTE, RID continues to impress me. Loving this book. As much as I love Optimus, why does he need another spotlight?

 

Also as much as that RiD preview looked good I'm still afraid that Barber is going to take the safe clished route of Megatron and Optimus status-quo.

Then again considering how the RiD story is going no-where and how after a year we're still runing in place and nothing of importance happened except for Arcee killing tons of Decepticons the hopes are as low as they can get for this book.

 

The Spotlight preview is as fanwanky as hell, but that's no bad thing. So now we know where Pax's Spotlight: Blurr body came from, and why he's back to the old one by Autocracy, and we get an implied explanation for why Ironhide inexplicably didn't know who Alpha Trion was in his mini - "Cybertron's foremost philosopher, polymath and public intellectual" doesn't sound like someone a civilian security guard would have really cared about.

Plus we get Rung being the perpetual bystander, as alluded to recently in MTMTE. And that opening panel is just hilarious. It's nice to see that the 'IDW A3 is an eccentric weirdo' thing is being kept up, it's a fun take on the character.

Also, Zeta's design looks really odd in a more traditional art style than Livio's...

 

Looks good, can't wait.

With all the continunity references on the go lately, I'm really feeling like I need to read more of the backlog.

 

whoa! creepy megatron. I like seeing broadside in it, and you can see that the fansproject imitates him pretty well.

 

That would suck massive balls. The gun mode was lame to begin with.
