    Agreed....

For old war dogs like me...Ive been reading TF comics for near 30 years. HOW MANY MORE years do we need to see the same stories replay and reboot themselves.

The new direction IDW has gone is, in my opinion, the most original direction I have ever seen them go....not to mention, again in my opinion, the most intriguing breath of fresh air Ive seen come out of the brand in YEARS!

Anyone who disagrees is completely entitled to for whatever reason. I am simply posting my own perspective.

I agree with you 100%. This is truly a new golden age of Transformer comics and I haven't enjoyed reading them this much since the old TF UK issues ( Target 2006!)

Well, one more post here, before I go pick up my comics and join the thread for people who OWN the books. :)

Good point. I think this one-shot is just an excuse for Roberts to get rid of that new body, nudge some older continuity and throw some more obtuse history at us. Also, this new body presumably doesn't have a matrix chamber in it, so that might be one reason for him to go back to the old one at some point.

I know, right? I TOTALLY had the same feeling reading the preview. I had to double back to the title page and make sure it was actually him writing, because as you say, there's something clunky about it. Part of that may be that the artist doesn't have the same flow as Milne, putting Roberts' words into pictures. Or maybe this is what happens when you take a star writer, and start handing him more work to do... it thins out, and gets less refined? I hope not, because that formula has killed Marvel these days.

    Ding! :lol

First off, that's because Cliffjumper IS a psychopath. Optimus is not. It's not turning down the truce that is so offensive in Movie Prime's behaviour... it's the way that it is depicted that seems out of character.

Same here. I can totally see the bots opening fire on Megatron, out of a need for vengeance, out of duty, out of stark terror... but none of that is really shown here. There is no emotional build-up or conflict really. Bumblebee doesn't seem afraid, or conflicted or anything other than well... vaguely grumpy, same as always. It's a bit flat, and makes the bots look callous and a more than a little bloodthirsty.

Nope. That's exactly what I say too. That's the issue with RID as a series... I just find myself very emotionally disconnected from everything that's happening. It's like watching events being listed on a timeline, with no drama or narrative joy involved.

Sounds like a lukewarm month... hmph.

Exactly. These are the Transformers comics I've been waiting 30 years to read. Which is not to say they're always perfect, but they're certainly more exciting that almost anything that came before them.

I like Pax's desing a lot. Infact, I once customized a 2-pack prime based on the original sketches and Spotlight: Blur. The overuse of yellow was my way of being consistent with Classics Prime. I sold it on ebay already, but whoever owns it now is lucky to have a figure of this guy.
