    figures

man, figured this again. Well, I believe I, and a bunch of my friends, are going to give up hoping this will ever come to the mid-west again. Figured it would be in California or out that way again, again, again, and will wonder what city next year in California. Starts with S and ends with cisco.

The Megatoyfan rooms were always the happening place. As others have mentioned, Megatoyfan and G1Fan are really cool guys to shoot the breeze with. It seems to be the one constant hub that everyone checks out.

They had a range of G1- new era stuff. Megatoyfan typically has a lot of parts to trade so it might be good to hit him up prior to Botcon to see if you can make some arrangements.

Hopefully 2018 will be Syracuse or Buffalo or hell New York City.

You will be able to find nearly anything you've ever wanted at BotCon. I found some of my most sought after stuff in the dealer's room, parts parties, or simply telling a board member to bring something from their b/s/t thread to the Con. It's mindblowing what you can find.

Completly forgot about this. If you remember to hit up this thread when it comes up and make a list of everything your looking for, they are more likely to bring it because they already know that they have a buyer in line.

and like everyone's said, hit up the parts parties first, because there is just about anything and everything to find there.

I think part of the complaining is that it's in the same place, but not quite close enough that you could just take a long (full week) vacation to hit both. And airfare can easily be 400-500 for each trip, depending on where you're coming from.

Not sure where your getting your data from..... A large part of the Transformers dealers are in Florida and other areas I might add.

    Exactly.

For people seriously thinking of attending, air fairs are usually cheaper when you search and purchase online on Tues and Weds. I do a lot of business and personal travel from various airlines. With Southwest, I was able to book a round trip flight from DC to San Diego for $170 each way a few months ago. But I would wait after the holiday season before booking flights since the big sales usually happens afterwards. Also weekend booking is a very bad idea. You get the worst rates most of the time.

OK vented a little now I am OK. I have said this before and I will say it again. I know FP doesn't care if I go or not, I know they don't need my money so my opinion means about as much as when I bitch about my taxes..... Saying that, I will still go every year where ever they have it. It's the only place I can see all my nerd buds from all over the world. As for the MegaToyFan parts party. We will put up a thread closer to the date to get everyone jazzed up. Posting some of what we will have, what were are looking for and giving everyone the opportunity to post their wares and wants. The main thing we offer is a plan for everyone to come together meet trade, buy, sell, and just hang out while the dealers room is closed. More to come on this....

You should check after December. Airlines like to have spring sales. But it doesn't hurt to check every now and then. Especially on Tues or Weds. :)

For beasts themselves, you see some, but I didn't feel that you see much. You definitely see a good bit of post-Beast though. Unicron Trilogy stuff is all over the place.

In the dealer room itself, a lot of the beast stuff is there to be found. Lots of it still sealed. Most of the show toys are worth more than they retailed more now too, it took long enough :)

Yeah you'll find that. Remember, in the dealer's room you will find....dealers, while at the parts party you will find anyone else who is looking to sell / trade. I do know that we MegaToyFan will have some Beast Wars items as well as newer stuff. We try to keep a wide variety of stuff.
