Yeah, totally skipping it at this point. As awesome as it would be to be in my dad's haunt, and see the ballpark... Not that close to SDCC. It seems like a lukewarm concept for the set, and too close to SDCC which offers a lot more.
I didnt lose any money from the CC thing. Just a bit of time. Some of us don't think everything Funpub does is a personal affront
After how many reports of the epic suckage from lasts year's con. I'm not surprised that they want to take it back to a place they know works. I actually have a place to stay less than 20 mins from the con... This is going to work out PERFECT!
I'll chine in with the "I think this is too close to SDCC for comfort" crowd. For ME this is like driving from New Jersey to Atlanta (California is a pretty BIG state...) and I'm just not sure my wife wont kill me for planning 2 long drives and 2 conventions in a 2 week stretch. If this was further north like San Jose (to get close to SF without the expense of SF I think it might have been better.
well myself, I'd perfer the company that I give my hard earn money to treat me with respect, seriously watching people show funpub any support like this is like people who give mattycollector money, its pathetic
The funny thing is that most people that said they had a great time at last years Botcon where first time attendees and had nothing to compare it too.
I had a great time last year, but that was because of the people, and it was my first time attending, botcon is a HORRIBLY run convention, its hilarious how bad its run and I laugh that people still want to give funpub money to give you such a poorly run show. If I am gonna go to a transformers convention, I'm going to TFcon, at least they treat their attendees with respect
... didn't you go to this year's Botcon? I'm glad I missed the whoel card fiasco thing... sheesh. I had fun at this year's Botcon, but I honestly didn't attend much of the event itself.
Dang. Why can it never be in the Midwest? St. Louis would be perfect (just 2 hrs away) and I'd be OK with Chicago.
