    I'm actually kinda intrigued by this. Doing a quick investigation, airfare and hotel costs are actually VERY reasonable given this is west coast.... and I kinda want to do a second vacation aside from TFcon this coming year.

    This is a definite maybe. It doesn't conflict with anything else on my con schedule, and the theme is such that if I don't like the toys I could probably sell them off a month later at TFcon.

    One hand I'm sad that its to far away. On the other hand I'm happy I'm saving money.

    Maybe next year it'll be on the east coast so I can drive to it but knowing BotCons history... It'll be a cold day in hell before that's going to happen it seems!

    Sweet! Not sure on going yet, but I LOVE San Diego! I'll probably renew my pass to the Zoo and enjoy both Beasts AND Beast Wars :lol .

    So 2009, 2011, and 2013 will have all been in California. I'd rather they have come to the east coast again, they've only been there 3 times since 1994. Not sure I'll ever go to another one unless it comes back to the upper east coast (went to 2010, partially because I could stay with my aunt living in that area of Florida and it doubled as a family vacation).

    I just got off the phone with a friend who staffs a con in the same hotel and she's all like BUYER BEWARE, just fyi.

    With the dates being less than a month before TFcon and airfare and not-so-good hotel room rates this might be the first BotCon I miss since 2004... :/

    I always wonder if it's too expensive out there. Seems like a good place to be, but maybe the venues/permits are too much money?
